I don’t want to be mean, but I highly doubt you have any idea what might or might not present an issue with the German government?
For starters, lots of the stuff that’s based on income in the US is based on net worth in Germany. Good example is Bafög, which goes to non-wealthy students (yes, not only is college free in Germany and comes with healthcare, you can also get some interest-free extra money that you don’t have to pay back in full if you do it the right way). And I could come up with a multitude of other reasons why you don’t want to have that money sitting into an account.
