Hello everyone...

So I will briefly tell my poker story and how I came about to post here maybe some of you will have tips for me. So I started playing poker half a year ago (But I played pretty much every day for 2 months). At first of course I lost my first deposit quickly because I was not ready for online poker at that time. I started to look at hand reviews and poker, guides. Started to lose a little less. Then I lost like two more deposits but in a way longer time then the first one. Then I really started to grind. I was either playing watching hand reviews or streams like all day for two weeks straight did nothing else with all my free time pretty much. I finally started winning like heavy for the first time for like 4 days in a row (3x my bankroll, then went down a little (like you do with bad beats and all) and then 5x it), after watching a lot o Doug Polks previous bankroll challenge and just his general poker older streams, they helped me out a lot I believe. After this I started to feel really confident in my ability. So I moved up in stakes, lost like half my bankroll was like "ok I tried to let's go back down grind up and try it again". Grinded back to the same bankroll pretty much tried it again did ok, did not lose to much went around even. So next session I go back to higher stakes again lose a lot again. Grind up again, go up, lose 90% of my bankroll, lose all my deposit. Deposit again lose it in the lower stakes again. Then i decided to buy the Upswing postflop guide, it was alright i would say, I pretty much played that way from Doug Polks streams anyway (meaning I played like the guide suggests). Deposit again, same thing (go broke). Deposit again same thing (lose). I just can't help but lose now. I believe i did improve alot i can see it myself, but I can't get back to winning ways again I just don't get it. I don't believe I ran hot because i wouldn't have gone up like three times again again. So this is where I am at I can't keep on losing in this game like this. (Currently slowly losing my current bankroll little by little)

P.S Sorry if my english is bad, english is only my third language

English seems OK, but use some paragraphs in future

What analysis of your play have you actually, from reading that it seems like deposit, go busto, lather rinse repeat without trying to work out your leaks and fix them

I mean I am really new to this, forum stuff and all. What kind of statistics of analysis you might need to help me out? I don't really know how to find out what leaks I have my guy.

Go to an appropriate strat forum here and read through some of the threads. If you find yourself thinking the same way, then you can pick up places to work on.

Depending on your site, you can look through your own hand history to see if you're putting your money in good most of the time.

Are you constantly surprised at your opponent's cards? Are they calling you down lighter than you expect?

Moving up in stakes makes the game 4x or more harder. Are you relying on folds at lower stakes that get called at higher stakes?

Do you shut down when a c-bet gets called ... and then bail when bet into on Turn or River?

Are you constantly raising/playing out of position? This wont fly at higher stakes. GL

Read about bankroll management my dude, play a bit lower at first until you trully understand what you're doing and then take shots at higher stakes.
I'd say play more tighter than DP cause obviously he knows exactly what he's doing in most spots.

Take in mind it's been just 6 months in so far, keep trying and improving.

Cheers!

what game do you play?
What stakes do you beat, what stakes are you trying to move into?
how many hands you played so far?
what is 10xed your bankroll??

Just a quick note: If you beat NL25 (0.10-0.25c blinds) turning 100$ into 1000$ is super easy (you might bust 100$ in 5 minutes, but lets assume that didn't happen). The skill difference at NL50 is quite intense so losing 800$ or 16 stacks will happen quite quick and you don't even need bad luck for it especially if you are only a small winner at NL25.

if you turned 10$ into 100$ at NL5 and then lost 8 stacks or 80$ at NL10 you are facing normal daily variance.

If swings like these make you go on tilt I would consider an alternative hobby like yoga or something a like.

So you play small stakes and carry zero debt? You’ll be fine. You’re not even close to stuck. It gets worse, much worse. It’s just a game.

1. I play cash games mostly used to play sng a lot (didin't find much success went pretty much even) but turned to cash because my bankroll grew quicker.

2. So I think I can beat the micros 0.01/0.02$ 6-max, I have moved into 0.02/0.05$ to build the bankroll quicker (9-max tho for the higher ones). I beat 00.2/0.05$ zoom consistently (some say zoom is a lot harder I don't know that per say but you might know how it really is so that might tell something about my skill) when I had a bigger bankroll then i stupidly tried to move into the higher ones my bankroll was not ready for them at all lost a lot of money went back but struggled since then very heavily maybe I've had a couple of lucky runs or something and I am trash I don't even know at this point.

3. The exact number? Somewhere beetween like >100,000 on pokerstars. That's not counting live games and all other random poker
video games I've played in my life.

4. Maybe I typed it wrong or something. What I mean by 10ex if you had 2$ you would make it into 20 ( 2x10 is 20)

P.S

I really want to make this poker thing work it would be so good to make some money on the side like this in my later life. I just need some help and I hope you or somone else helps me out..

Well I would do that but I would lose interest from all the people that are trying to help me if I made a new topic.

No. What I would think is best for you is to go to those two forum areas and read, read and read some more. After you have read every thread on the FIRST page...consider the second page. Do all this reading BEFORE you post in someone else's thread and WELL before you start your own post in those areas.

You have posted in the Beginners section asking for advice. All that has been posted so far is good. but why not go to a specific section of 2+2 that will be entirely about the games you want to play?

Do you own any tracking programs like Holdem Manager? A tracker records all of the hands you play.....so you should be able to tell us exactly how many hands you have played. If you do not want to use a tracker, you are going to be fighting an uphill battle to improve.

edit for another question. When you play online, how many tables do you play at one time?
