I think you are better off playing only 1 or 2 tables, and trying to guess opponents' hand ranges for hands that you aren't involved in, as well as the ones you are. When they go to show down, you can figure out why you were right or wrong on your ranges.
It helps to talk out loud. Don't just think about it. Talk about their ranges as you watch.
For a while when i got bored at work I would open 2 tables and try to guess their hands by the river.
It sucks when there is no showdown but it passes time.
If you play 2 tables you should be able to look at every decent sized hand and work on getting their hands in the correct ranges.
ALWAYS THINK OF RANGES. it helps.
If someone opens from UTG+2 and their PFR is 5% their range is 99+, AJs+, KQs+, AKo
If they are still showing alot of strength on a certain flop you can restrict their range even tighter.
Pokey has a great great guide on hand reading here. Its unbelievably long but worth it.

Yes, this is fun. Just pick a low buyin SnG compared to your bankroll and give it a try. You are forced to bet and raise based solely on the situation. You need to think exclusively on how others are perceiving your strength and also on how you perceive their strength. Give it a try.
One of the big lessons is that calling is really a dicey play. Fold or raise is the answer.

I don't see this helping someone who isn't highly experienced. You've really got to be able to pick up on tendencies and get a read to determine when someone is floating lightly and going to fold to a barrel or not.
And part of reading hands is knowing what cards are out already. If you don't know what you have, you can't discount card combinations.
You're better served putting in hands and trying to narrow down someone's range based on their actions through the course of the hand than covering up your cards at this point in your poker career, imo.
AEJones did a good video on Leggo about playing with his cards covered at 50nl. He shares a lot of thoughts.
A good video on board texture and opponents ranges is the 2nd and 3rd videos in SThief's Professor Plotkin series on Deuces Cracked. This will give you way more information for the future than covering up your cards.
