Hello guys, I am studing this spot which I usually see on the sngs bubbles I play all day long. Used equilab for the math, if you need more numbers please tell me.

So, I have been studing these kind of spot where you get involved (or not already) in a hand where you OR or squeeze hand get two all ins from V's preflop, or just call a push + overpush

I compare equity vs odds of hands vs 2 ranges, and you can call with worst hands depending on how much money is on the pot. So if the pot is 200% your stack, you can call wider

My problem is this: There must be a point where you need to take this spot as a 1v1 spot. This is when one of the V is a shortstack compared to hero and the other V.

So, if my stack is 100bb, V1 is 100bb (or more), and V2 is 50bb I see I need 40% equity. If my stack is 100bb, V1 is 100bb (or more), and V2 is 25bb I need 44.44% equity

BUT how far should I take this on consideration? where should I stop considering the shortstack and take the spot as a 1v1?

The problem is, the near I get to the 100% of my stack to be won, the more equity I need and it makes no sense because the shortstack can't hurt you at some "x" point of being short

Thankss

You realise that 40% and 45% are actually fairly close to each other and the difference isn't going to be that important, right? Frankly the ICM implication in an STT on the bubble is going to be more critical, although you never get those stack sizes so this all seems like a silly hypothetical to me

I think I understand that, especially on chip ev mode. But I don't play STTs I play multi table 180's sng where there is a big jump in level 4 from 25/50 to 50/100. At that point start the push/fold battle and is ussual to find pushes + overpushes and is still far from the bubble

If you play multi table donkaments then say that, that you're playing unscheduled ones is irrelevant. Most people think STT when someone says SNG as all STTs are SNGs. That's not the same with multi table donkaments, and is why people refer to them as MTTSNGs or simply 180s, 90s, 45s etc, never just SNGs
