Push fold range - 88's vs 66's

Hi guys,
I was playing in a free roll tournament the other night and was short stacked, so was playing using the 'Float the Turn' app's push/fold charts.
On one hand, I noticed something strange. It put pocket 6's in my shove range, but not pocket 77's or 88's.
Is there a reason for this, or is the app just faulty? I can't see any reason why pocket 6's would be better in a shove than a higher pair.

In most freerolls your push range should be ATC on every street, but without seeing what it's spitting out as a full range in a particular spot it's hard to comment beyond the chart thinking 88 can be played more profitably by not jamming

It could be that 88 has a higher EV by minraise-calling off instead of shoving.
But it also have something to do with blockers and card removal effects, which are incredibly difficult to understand, and are quite insignificant in terms of your overall winrate.
FWIW, I've calculated satellite spots with ICMizer where it told me to jam K6s (because it blocked the Kx calling range and had some equity vs QQ-99), but fold 99 (which would always be flipping or crushed). I've also seen spots where a hand like 66 would be a slightly profitable call, but 88 is a fold. (Perhaps because the shoving range contained A5s-A2s, and 66 blocks some random low straights).

I figured there'd probably be some reason for it that defied my own sense of logic, I just couldn't figure it out. I still can't but can accept that it may be to do with blockers etc. and that I probably don't need to understand it at that level to make the right plays 99% of the time. I'll worry about focusing on the other areas where I'm making the wrong plays!
