PS Transition from 10NL to 25NL 6 max reg tables PS Transition from 10NL to 25NL 6 max reg tables

Hey guys,

I have decided today to take some shots at 25NL after achieving a win rate of 9.8bb/100 over about 70k hands. However I was shocked at what I saw. Far more 3 betting/4 betting bluffs. A lot more aggression post flop and generally felt like I was playing a whole different game.

I lost about 2BI in total but this was mainly due to some runbad. Chopped against QQ with AA where we got it in on the turn. Run It Twice was on and he spiked a Q on the river on the second run and lost another 80/20 when we got it in on the turn so overall not a bad start EV wise.

My main questions are:

1) Should I be 3 bet/4 bet bluffing a wider range than I currently do and expose myself to playing bigger pots with wider ranges?

2) Is the skill level of regs at 25NL so much higher than 10NL?

3) Should I re-examine my post flop calling/value ranges on certain boards?

4) Is this just all in my head after a 1k hand session?

Thanks in advance.

1) Not necessarily, but you do want to study spots where you're getting 3bet often and figure out proper ranges. Especially late position spots.

2) I assume so

3) Depends if you made them exploitative to profit from the 10NL population. If the population tendencies changes significantly then you need to redo them.

4) 3bet numbers converge quite quickly in a 1k sample if you take the average of the whole population. 4bet numbers might be questionable. Flop cbetting numbers and aggression should be quite accurate as well.
