1. Artyfly, yes that is the article i was talking about from upswing and from chuck bass. So he says in a progressive with 3k starting stack, the initial bounty is worth 1/2 or 1500 chips. So he is incorrect here? Everyone else seem to mention its either worth 1/3 or 1/4 the starting stack. Thus with 3k chips, it would be worth 1k or 750 chips. But in his article its worth 1/2 or 1500 chips. So is he correct or incorrect? Thus the article is wrong?

2. Also when you are heads up, are you suppose to ignore the bounty and play it as like a freezeout? Someone mentioned this and im not sure the answer still. So when someone jams 15bb heads up and you have 30bb to make it simple, you are suppose to ignore adding the bounty chips to the equation of calling due to pot odds and play it like you would a freezeout? Someone said this is because in a bounty tournament when heads up, you either get all the bounties or get nothing.

3. Can someone explain how you count the profit in a bounty tournament? Example say its heads up to make it simple and 11 dollar bb to make it simple. Lets just say 1st price is 2k and 2nd place is 1200 to make it simple. One player has collected 500 dollar in bounties and has a 30bb stack. The other player has collected 300 dollars in bounties and has a 15bb stack. Let say for the 1st player, it it shows 520 bounty on that player name. For the 15bb stack, it shows 325 dollar bounty on that player. Now the 15bb player jams all in.

If the bigger stack calls and wins... he gets 1st for 2k profit. But the bounty he wins here is 325 dollar from the other player. But you also win your own bounty or 520 dollars? Is the math here correct? So this player wins 2000 + 325 + 520 - 11 dollar buyin = 2834 dollars?

4. Also how can you tell how much profit a player made when looking at the lobby of a bounty builder? Example say for a 11 dollar bb tournament. That player finishes say 6th place for 350 dollars. It shows the bounty amount next to it as 125 dollars. So this player made 350 + 125 - 11 dollar buyin = 464 dollars?

5. In general, what percentage of the prize pool does a player win in a bounty builder or similar tournament of the prize pool? Is it pretty much usually around 13-18% roughly?
The thing that confuses me here is since bounties are worth half the prize, doesn't that mean winning a progressive tournament means more in percentage of the prize pool for 1st place compared to a freezeout?

So is chuck bass article on how to calculate bounties incorrect then? Seems most ppl say the initial bounty is worth 1/3 the stack. But his article says its half.
