Pre-flop Ranges and C-Bet Frequency

Hi all,
I am looking to find the optimal opening ranges by position pre-flop for low stakes cash and MTT early stages, and to refine my C-Bet freq. when I miss the flop.
I really struggle to understand what I should be betting with when I miss, and with so many different sources of information out there from YouTube to paid content, all made across the last 10 years, I wondered what Micro crushers are opening with, and what are the optimal ranges in 2020?
I am reading the Grinders Manual at the moment, which I believe is quite old. Is that still the de facto bible for low stakes tactics?
