Playing the final table bubble (Rush)

Tourney: $3.30 17.5K Gtd Rush w/Rebuys
Field: 2.5-3.5K entrants

Scenario: 15-20 ppl left, 1Mil big/500K avg., Blinds 8/16K +antes

Questions:

a) What is the right approach to the game when deepstacked in this spot (~700K)?
b) Whats a good pf bet-sizing here (RFI)?
c) How do the rush dynamics influence the regular MTT in this bubble scenario (adjustments?)?
d) Whats a good bb defense range?
e) When do you go in push/fold mode?

Notes:

I have no problem getting to this stage, but once here I get into situations like the following:

- I open for 2x, bb calls, I cbet, he calls, tricky spot.
- I open for 2.5-3x ---"---, tricky spot.
- I open for 3.4-4.5x, sb or bb shove.

Considering I make final tables with less problems in lower field tourneys (200-600 entrants), I think my issue has to do with playing deepstacked.

Re: Playing the final table bubble (Rush)

You haven't told us any real information:
1. Your stack size
2. Player tendancies (have you been getting 3 bet a lot? Opening % etc)
3. Short stacks

Let's say that your an average stack. There is no reason to get out of line. I'd be focusing on leveraging shortstacks into shove/fold scenarios w/ hands that have good equity. Thinking players will be shoving and 3 betting you a lot on the FT bubble, thus you shouldn't be opening a lot of marginal hands. Everyone wants to get to the FT so it will either be a real nitty dynamic or aggro. If it's TAG then you should be playing more hands to take down blinds, c-bet post-flop etc. If it's LAG, then hold tight and wait for good hands to play in position with.

OK, take this hand scenario:

1) You(700K) hold A5s & open for 2.5x (41K) from the button, sb folds and bb(700K) raises you to 101K. You?

Or this:

2) You(700K) are in bb and hold KQo. CO(1Mil) opens for 3x (48K). You?

3) You(700K) have JJ UTG. 4 players left including blinds. All have 550K-750K stacks. Blinds 10/20K+antes. Move?

Thoughts?

1. 700K
2. Most of the time I was getting 3-bet(even shove) from the sb/bb. Sometimes only cold-called. Very very rarely I managed to take it down without a fight.
3. No real shortstacks.

The ONLY spot I managed to steal from was from the blinds. I would just shove over a button raise.

Any other info would be greatly appreciated.
