To Opt out or to Not opt out

That is the question and I don't see a thread that has specifically been dedicated solely to this aspect of opting in/out. It seems to me there are two lines of thinking when a winning player wants to help themselves stay winning. If you opt out you are keeping other players from seeing your ROI and making adjustments, but if you stay in the other good players might avoid you altogether which is good as well. I don't get think these tracking sites (e.g. sharkscope) give your HUD stats (e.g. VPIP and aggression factor), but only your results so I'm unsure which line is best to take. Any advice?

"Joining" seems to satisfy our need for external validation.
Better to let the moneys satisfy that need.
