I notice when i play, lot of regs would open jam like up to 22bb with pairs in the lojack and closer to the button etc. Some even do this UTG+2 etc with hands like 55 and many do this with hands like A10-AK and suited broadways and KQ and KJ. Push fold does show that many of these jams up to 20bb in lojack position and closer is fine.

But when a player do this, you can pretty much discount AA, KK And QQ from that players range. Sometimes they do this with JJ as well. But typically they do this with 99 and below and those hands i mentioned. The thing is if you play like that, you are unexploitable right since you are open jamming? The thing is according to the charts, you could jam 16bb with 98s in lojack and thats a push and thus profitable.

I notice players in the sb or button or even cutoff will open jam up to like 22bb with hands like a8s or a5s or q10s etc as opposed to raise. I think thats a bad play but is it really? Well when you do that, you won't get outplayed after the flop b/c you are open jamming. And when they jam like 55 with 22bb, well even if you have AK, its a flip with you being a small underdog. Compare that with you raising 55 or aq or aj and someone rejamming 20bb and you have to call or fold.

Is there a general strategy for this? I know against tight players who don't bluff or make moves, you could just min raise. But against aggressive regs or standard regs, open jamming maybe better? Because when you do this with 55 or a8s min raise, they could rejam with any pair or kq or kjs etc with 20bb. But if you open jam 20bb in lojack, well they would not be happy to call off 20bb in the button with kjs or 55 because you are open jamming and thus they dont have any fold equity since they cant rejam. Thoughts on this?

Also i notice when players are in the SB, they are open jamming like up to 22 or 23bb. When they do this, its usually a small pair or ax or kx or broadway or something a bit above average like j10s. Is this standard play nowadays? So when folded to you in the SB with 20bb effective stack, you should just open jam ax or j10s or 98s or k8o? According to push fold, those are profitable jams with that stack size. But i notice when players do this, its because they are not good postflop which is the only reason for this and they dont want to go to the flop and just end it right there. Thoughts on this? I could understand open jamming like pairs 22-55. And small ax. But players do this with like Qjs and qjo. But if you just raise, well if other player rejams, well they put pressure back on you and have fold equity. Thoughts on this? Also you should be calling 20bb and below jams pretty much according to snapshove or nash right? Like any Ax in the bb to a 20bb sb shove is a snap call assuming its a reg or abc player? And even QJo is a call as well? Because thats a call according to push fold but when you call, well you are never that big of a favorite.

fedor holz shoved with 35s on the sb 4 handed when icke haxton was 20BB deep on the bb.. fedor was trying to win 8000 odd chips to take it down preflop. icke called with TT and lost to fedor's flush that hit on the river.

aggressive play and run good is the way to go deep in tournaments. fedor ended up doing a bad bluff on the river losing with A high against 2 pair Kings and fours heads up.
