Hello All,

I've browsed some posts and still didn't really get an answer for my exact question:

My ultimate goal is to become an excellent real life cash game poker player rather than online. I want to figure out the best way to make use of online poker to achieve this.

From the research I've conducted, a lot of players think HUD use will detract from improving my real life play. Would you agree?

From experience, it seems like playing lots of small steaks cash games without a HUD would be the best way to help achieve my goal?

I'm reading every poker book I can get my hands on! Any other suggestions very much welcome!

HUD is a great resource if you are multi tabling but if you are only playing one table you will be able to keep track of the action if you're paying attention. As regards live cash I pretty much always play against the same people at a poker room so you get used to players tendencies but obviously if you are playing against an unknown play ABC until you build up a read on the player and can start adjusting.

I don't think using a hud will affect you live play ability what so ever!

Just keep in mind that Live games play a lot different to online. Would be better gearing your study material towards live play if that is what you want to play your volume in. I play a mix of both and Live cash is generally a lot softer than online but there is alot more multiway play.
