Where does the MONEY come in anyway? Who CHOOSES to buy play money? It's too stupid in too many ways to be real.
It's real. Apparently the play is a little calmer at the high stakes play money tables, and some people who won't literally gamble with their money choose to pay a set amount for recreation at tables where people don't shove every hand.

Crazy I know.

I'm no attorney, and I know the law is often illogical, but I doubt it's illegal.
He is risking no money. He is simply selling something has possession of that costs him nothing. I don't think he is forced to monetize the time he put in.

Finding a trustworthy buyer and transferring the chips and money, without talking it about it in the table chat or chip dumping is the difficult part - which the OP has so far chosen not to reveal.

Edit: and if your lucky dirtlad will have PM ability soon. Maybe you two should talk !!

That's pretty much the easiest thing. People always are asking to buy it. Oh, I posted an update here on how things have been going...

Well, the other stuff is not that special really, it's pretty obvious if you think about it. The challenge to me that took 2 years was becoming good enough at poker that I could win a lot.

WOW

that is just insane. I'm surprised you didn't move to cash before.

Just wonder where you would be right now if you had started playing in the micros instead of play money.

1. So...

You played 2 hours/day. You played 1-2 tables. You played 3 weeks in August 2009.

You won 240 million.

It's 4-5 million per hour per table. Is it right?

2. You played "Cash" games, Ring games, Heads-Up and 3-handed NLHE.
% of time each?

Thank you for answers.

I played about 2 hours a day for 2 years, first losing, then running it up to about the 600,000/2 million buy-in by waiting for hands, then breaking even for a year while learning a lot more...then I had an epiphany or two and it came together and I won around 240-300 million in August 09 and have been winning heavily ever since. It certainly took a lot of time to figure things out and gain some discipline and understanding of the people I was playing against.

It was all ring games, mostly heads-up or 3-handed because I didn't like trying to keep track of 8 donkey's play patterns at once. Although recently I've been playing Full Ring much more often.

In August 09
- You played 2 hours a day.
- You played 1-2 tables.
- You won 240-300 million.
So you won 4-5 million per hour per table.
Is it right? It's the question.

I don't know the exact numbers, probably more like 3 million per hour per table. I do average over $600 a month though. Not counting running horribly today (eye roll).

Cash out and redeposit on pokerstars, the rake in the fulltilt microstakes games is horrible and crushes your winrate, you can also buyin deeper on stars.

I've been saying this for years not just since gaining a contract with pokerstars before anyone mentions that.
05-18-2010 , 03:58 PM
I didn't read the whole thread obv but it seems that you could win more money from the play money tables then from the micros. The people on the play money tables must be beyond terrible. Why not just stay?!

I knew someone who couldn't really play poker but made quite a bit of money from selling FaceBook chips on Ebay where he would win millions from the play money donks (Ebay have since banned the selling of FB chips).

Chip-Star I've played with you on PS your the biggest nit I've ever player with.

Yeah P.S. micro rake is def better than FT. I do like the FT software much better though.
