For you to justiy opening worse than AA your opponents would have to be getting in there with worse and handing free EV to your opens.
So you open because it's +EV, get action from opponent whose decision is -EV (has to be cause zero sum).
Eventually he realises he's making -EV decisions and that he needs to fold those hands (cause 0EV>-EV ldo) and play tighter to make money.
Because he's now playing tighter and only getting in with hands that will make money vs your opening range it means you need to tighten up and ditch opens that are not +EV vs his tighter continuing range.
Now some of his continues become -EV so he tightens up again and ditches those losing hands from his continue range.
So now you tighten up again, then he tightens up again etc etc until at equilibrium you both only have aces in your ranges.
Idk how to prove mathematically if that's what your friend wants lol.
