Online 6mx Cash Games ....

Those who have grinded up the stakes from micros to high... This is a question for you guys/gals/people.

Has anyone ever directly noticed what the difference is in each stake when they take a shot/move up.

If so what subtle or major differences are there between/when they move up from 2NL, 5NL, 10NL, 16NL, 25NL, 50NL, 100NL, 200NL & 500NL ?

Also do people tend to make.the jump for 10NL to 25NL or go 10NL -16NL-25NL? (Stars)

Cheers in advance

Also wondering what the deal with 16nlz is. Always a small player pool compared to 10 and 25nlz.

Yeah I've never quite understood if people tend to use it as a middle ground to 25NLz ...

Plus betting amounts are just plain weird to get used too hahaha 2's 5's and 10's are so much easier

Hero: 67

Villains Range: QQ, A3

Board: 47Q2
How many combinations are there in villains Range?

I came up 58 combos, after research found out it was 4 combos but could not find out how or why? How are there 4 combos?

Uh...not really sure what your question is...really. I guess if villain has a range of QQ or A3...then the four hands he can hold is:

A3
QQ
QQ
QQ

Beatta, welcome. You posted correctly here.

Bankroll is a concept primarily for professionals. If you have easy access to making deposits (without too much vig), then put on enough money to play a few games. In the USA, putting money on and taking off a site is not an easy chore. Instead of bankroll think about using the term "training budget". How much can you afford to lose within the next 30 days/ 6 months? Establish this as your training budget and have the will power to not exceed as you lose. And to the point..... you will lose your training budget at some point. Almost all of us has hit streaks where we have "lost it all". That's when you start saving up again (through your career job) so you can deposit and start playing again.

NL10? It signifies No Limit at the $10 level. The $10 is equal to 100bb and will be a game with .05/.10 blinds. Start at 2NL where the blinds are .01/.02 ($0.02x100=$2.00 buy in)

I think you have answered my question, King Spew, I wanted to know how many combos were in villains Range.

kinda an odd question. Where did villain get such a narrow range?

Or maybe the range is QQ+, Adxd ??

What I can't figure out is how you came up with 58.

Why are some games spread with different but such similar blind structures, ie. 1-2, vs 1-1-2 vs 1-3? Do they even impact the play of the game that much?

im super serious

lets say you have 15 thousand posts on the social forums in this site and havent really played poker since you lost in the 2016 wsop, and you've forgotten a lot but want to start fresh in poker. the things i know about poker are pretty useless in todays games(i suspect) so i would need to start all over. where should i start? The only things i don't need to relearn or learn in a new way is stuff like basic ranges and ..hand rankings. everything else i need to learn again. in some ways its worse than if i never played because i have bad learned skills. also i dont have any money and have been working in a grocery store for the last 13 years. so i need software and stuff thats free/cheap so i can learn and build a roll.

As far as free tracking software, freepokerdb actually works decently. I use it to track results, it does individual hands as well, obvs not as smoothly and specific as hem or pt.

I use Ignition and America's Card Room. I've been doing them both for the last 9 months. It depends on state as well though, dude. I'm located in California. I don't think that all states have access to those, but I could totally be wrong.

For tracking software, I use PokerTracker4. There's another popular one but I dont remember its name. It won't work with Ignition though

I play on Americas Cardroom and Juicy Stakes poker. Holdem Manager 2 works on both of them. I have played on Juicy Stakes for three years and on Americas Cardroom for at least five years.

I don't know if you can play on PokerStars. It depends on what the rules are (legislation) where you live.

In 2005 I started on PokerStars with a deposit of $50. How much you deposit doesn't matter nearly as much as how you manage your money. If you deposit $50 and play $1 tournaments or the lowest level of cash games, your money should last for a while. If you deposit $200 and play $40 tournaments you could go broke in a day.
