I haven't done any proper tournament HU study yet but most people there just want to GII with random junk and gamble so I feel like I have a decent edge there, even without HU specific study.
I have a good ROI over about 100 games which I know is a lolsample but is it at least some indication for a "true" ROI? Or have I just been running like God?
lolsample and "true" ROI don't even belong in the same sentence. You don't really know how good you are until you have a decent sample size.
When I played SNGs on PokerStars I worked my way up the levels from $1 to $5 to $10. After getting a decent bankroll at $5, but not enough to move up to $10, one day I decided one day to play a $10 to see what it was like, and I won it. I stayed at $10, I kept winning and I never moved back down to $5.
I don't remember how many $10 SNGs I played, but I think it was around 75. My ROI was 14%, higher than I had at $1 or $5.
I doubt that I got better when I moved up to better competition. Clearly 14% was not my new "real" ROI.
