56s and 67s will win more than 87s because:
-56s and 67s will win on a 2345x board
-it's easier for 87s to make a straight and lose. 87s will lose on a 9TJQK board this takes away some of its straight power. If 56s or 67s make a straight they can only lose to a flush or better.

87s is better because it will chop less when there is a flush on the board.

How do you build a relationship with the 2+2 community? There isn't much going on in the strat sections except for small stakes nl and small mtt, and I don't play either of these games. PGC is hoppin but I am not good at keeping up with a blog type deal.

One good way is to find some of the Low Content and Off Topic monthly threads in various forums where you have an interest. Those are about the only places I post anymore when not on the clock posting for work.

Some poker, maybe a very little gaming, but not much really. Just need a decent laptop for 200 quid.

If you can put it off until you've saved up some more you can get laptops which are more useful for both for a little bit more.

If you're wanting to play hundreds of thousands of hands it may be worth getting an SSD; I don't think you're going to need a hard drive that big but tbf on that price range you can probably only get something like 64GB on an SSD which is ostensibly too small even for a small poker DB.

Also, re: gaming you might want to increase the amount of RAM you have. AFAIK something between 8gb and 32gb is pretty standard for gamers nowadays.

I started a 7 day free trial at dragthebar.com about 5 or 6 days ago but for the last 3 days every time I've tried to visit the site it just tries and tries to load the site and eventually says "This webpage is not available" ( in chrome) or "The connection was reset" (in firefox) even tried to connect with my Ipad but had pretty much the same problem....

can someone please help me cancel my 7 day trial since I can't even connect to the site...

Can any math guys show me how to work out the odds of 3 people flopping a flush on a 7 handed table? Busted out of a decent sized field live tourney on the weekend when I flopped second nut flush vs nut flush vs smaller flush a few hands into the final table.

You shouldn't calculate that kind of thing. It doesn't help to know how unlucky you were, it just makes you concentrate on the wrong stuff, which makes you worse. What matters is getting your money in good vs. their ranges.
