It's a corruption of OMG which is an acronym for "Oh My God".

http://www.urbandictionary.com/ is your friend.

Hi. So , I've seen people using this "stats" under the peoples name they are playing with.. So i'm wondering, how do you get the stats to show up? I have pt3, do you need any other programs to it? And if you need pt3 only, where can i set it to work?

Thank you in advance.

It should show up automatically if you're running auto-import while you're playing. PT3 doesn't support every site, though.

If you want to post for feedback, post in the micro no limit forums (or whichever level you play).

Ohh.. Well, I have auto import on, and it doesn't show the stats on the tables, I'm using EverestPoker... ((. Does it work in Pokerroom?

Well, I don't play on Everest so I'm not sure if the HUD supports that site or not. Maybe someone else knows and can respond, or you can check the PT3 website.

I believe when you set to import you also have to tell PT3 to turn the HUD on. There's a checkbox or button or something.

Just remember that when you post, people will most likely tell you exactly what they think. They're not gonna sugar coat anything, so a thick skin is useful. But if you can remove your ego from the equation (and also take everything with a grain of salt) you'll gain a lot more from posting hands and stats. Good luck.

Didn't get an answer in Software so I am reposting here. What are the following hardware platform requirements for PostgreSQL/HEM?

1. What are the RAM requirements both minimum and recommended?
2. What are the CPU speed requirements both minimum and recommended?
3. What is the hard drive requirements? I read in another post it uses about 800MB per 120K. Does that sound about right?
4. I could not find a support phone number on the website. Is this a little startup company?
5. Will I need to rely on forums and email for support or when I buy a license do I get a phone number so I can talk to a human for tech support?

I think you should probably email these questions to the support at Pokertracker, or whatever database you're using. Posters here would have to look all that up for you in order to give you an answer, and honestly you could do it yourself and get a better answer.

Ok, Shick actually had a good idea . PT support was the first to respond so I will post their answers here. Let's see how long it takes HEM support to respond.

1) 2GB+ is best but 1GB is fine. Even 512MB works

2) Any CPU should be ok. I run a 12 million hand DB off of a 3yr old 2ghz with 1 CPU

3) If you do not save observed hand histories it is about 3GB/million hands otherwise about 4GB/million

4) Not very little but we don’t have phone support. We have e-mail support and when necessary use www.teamviewer.com to login to your pc and help with any issues

5) See #4. I think you will find that this works very well

A question about checking/betting in the dark.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2ReMJS7oCA

Here are Negreanu and Helmuth playing a hand.
Before the flop comes they are screaming like "I bet 10K!" and " I check"!

Whats the point in checking and betting the flop before you've seen??

for once, the announcers have something intelligent to say. "Daniel has a pretty good feel for where Phil is at, and Phil has no idea where Daniel is at". And later "Daniel is as comfortable as he can be right now". And finally "Phil looked a little silly in that hand."

Making these grandstanding moves is risky, but here it's paid off beautifully for DN. Note that he gets to play absolutely straightforward through the whole hand, simply betting while miles ahead.

to answer your question as best I can, because both DN and PH are way, way better at table chat than I even dream of being: PH needs to check the flop anyway, so by doing it in the dark he's not giving anything away if he flops something surprisingly good. This gives him effective position, sorta. This was a steal attempt gone wrong from the beginning, so he's trying to mix things up somehow.

DN is cbetting most flops here, so why not say so. This effectively buys back position back at a price he was already going to pay.

by the way, these maneuvers are either bleeding-edge sophisticated or a bunch of hooey, I'm not sure which, but not something you or I will ever need to understand.

Good evening everyone. How are you today? Lol, like I really care :P... I do.

I'm Needing your help. It's about the the "stats"(for example vpip , af , etc), which shows up on the poker client(not sure if they go automatically under the villains names' or something?). So, I don't know how to get (which program do I need?) it to show the stats of the players when I play against someone. If someone knows what I am trying to say, I'd highly appreciate if you could explain me , what program(I do have PT3) and how I'll get it to work.

Regards, Teemu

(I already asked something about this earlier from here, but the answers didn't help me :S)

Please, Help me
