Another question i have is when i play the SNG should i play tight to start, i know i shouldnt be playing trashlike hands, but i know i cant wait for big hands all the time. I try to steal blinds when i can, but can i play hands like
A6 suited in middle position. It seems everyone in the game just calls the blinds, do i need to loosen up a little more. Any advice would be great thanks.

I think you're probably playing a bit high on the cash side, especially if you're already planning on moving up. Make some money playing 1c/2c and think about moving up to 2c/5c when you have about $100. If you're doing well in the $1.20 SnG's then just stick to 'em until you have about 20 buyins for the next level and you should be fine.

As a general rule, start out pretty tight and don't worry too much about stealing blinds when they're small. When the blinds go up and you get closer to the bubble you can begin to loosen up--but be careful not to get too committed to a bad hand in bubble situations.

It is sometimes used to distinguish between a heads-up situation in a ring game (one raiser, BB calls, HU to the flop) and an actual heads-up game or match (e.g. with only two players to start with) - 'HUHU'

Have no idea what the LA in HULA is so if someone knows I wouldn't mind hearing the answer too

What is stacking off? I tried searching and reading theads, where people used the term, but I don't think I quite understood it. (English isn't my first language, in case the term is something patently obvious )

Stacking off is just losing your stack.

People that stack off light are losing their stacks with weaker hands

Stacking off is putting your whole stack into play (usually no differentiation between calling or pushing). It's synonymous with "felting". You'll see people ask, "Should I stack off here?" or "Should I be felting this hand?"

I've got a quickie.
Some members are talking about 'M'. I figured it has something to do with your stack compared to the blinds but I'm not entirely sure. Someone who can help me out here?

Thanks.

Not a secret agent. M is the head of the department that in the movie is refered to as MI6 and is currently played by Judi Dench.

In poker it's just how many orbits you'll be able to last before being blinded away if you don't play any hands--figured by diving your current chip stack by the sum of the blinds and antes-per-orbit.

No, M is Bond's boss and the head of MI6.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M_(James_Bond)

The M that we're talking about here is from "Harrington on Hold'em" and is the ration of blinds+antes to the size of your stack.

Thanks for all the help and references. Although I have never heard of the term 'M' or the M-theory, as a tournament player I'm of course well known with the concept of just folding into the money with a healthy stack, although I rather pick on people who are in the red zone
