I'm not qualified to answer that, and neither are most of the people who will offer you advice. Please be careful taking tax advice from random strangers on the internet.

It might be more complicated than either of your options, actually. It will obviously be different depending on what country you live in. Check out the "poker legislation" forum, there's lots of traffic on this topic there.

Hm, i have a dumb question, so it must suit in here. I am usually playing Don's and mtt's, but now i am considering moving to cash game. At first i wanan try NL25 FR but i am flexible and will move down after first 10k hands if doing bad. Now i would liek to know how much is standard win rate in NL10 FR and NL25 ( standard= as we assume standard for DoN's in 5$ to 10$ buyins is 5%-9% ROI now this translate to FR cash - i know i complicated it much, but i dunno how to simplify it, sry lol).
Thx for answer.

There are likely multiple threads about cash out issues already in Internet Poker which might give you more information.

If you are able to cash out to your VISA (not all VISAs will allow this) it's a far better method as it shows up in your account in a couple days.
I attempted to cash out to my Visa and it was declined. Checked all my information and it is correct. Anyways, I will try once more. Do you recommend me transferring my money to Poker Stars to cash out?

Edit: Called my processor and they have my birth date wrong on this card. I guess I found my problem.

Does anyone know where Date of Birth can be changed on FTP? I've been looking through the cashier and have found nothing.

So my best bet is to change it with my payment processor I guess. I have quite a bit of money that I would like to cash out as soon as possible.

BTW, I've heard FTP support is horrible. I'll try emailing them anyways.

Repeating an earlier unanswered question: What percentage of live tournament buyins typically constitutes a fair entry fee? At what point is the entry fee a rip-off in which case the tournament should be avoided altogether?

Heads Up Display

In online poker, it's software that places various statistics right on the poker table. (The poker equivalent of baseball statistics - ERA, AVG, RBI, HR, etc)

what has a better chance of hitting on the turn or river, straight draw or flush draw?

Dont know if Im using the terms correctly so Ill give a little more details. Say someone has 2 diamonds in their hands and flops 2 more diamonds, while somebody else has 5,3, offsuited and flops A,2. Who has a better chance at winning?

the flush draw has the better chance since he has 9 cards that will make the flush. on the other hand there are only four cards that will make the straight.

My PockerTracker HUD doesn't seem to show when I'm playing S&G's or Touraments. Does anyone know what a possible reason for this might be?

What has more variance, limit holdem or no limit?

I see people talking about table selection a lot, but never really know what they actually mean. Is it just where they check tables to see if regulars are playing on there or they check the peoples stats on the table? If you have nobody stats does that mean you can't table select besides avoiding the obvious regulars?

Variance is a statistical measure of the degree to which data varies from average. At the same blind level, (comparing 200nl to $2/$4 limit -- both with a $2 big blind -- for example), no-limit will have much greater variance statistically because pots can be far larger. In one session, you might be up or down 300 big blinds in no limit, but +/-300BB would be unusual, to say the least, for a limit session.

People will tell you the variance in limit is greater, but they're not really speaking mathematically. What they mean is something like "losing streaks are more frequent, longer, and less avoidable in limit." One reason is that winrates of good players are lower in limit. If you are winning 3BB/100, it is much easier to end a session for a loss than if your winrate is 15ptbb/100. The +15ptbb/100 no-limit player might play a session for +5ptbb/100 and not consider that a "losing" session, but that actually represents a bigger negative departure from the mean than a +3BB/100 limit player who has a -3BB/100 session.

Also, most people won't compare limit to no-limit at the same blinds. It will vary wildly with individual skills, but a $1/$2 no-limit player might be playing $5/$10 when he plays limit. Higher blinds makes for bigger pots and therefore higher variance, by simple arithmetic.

Attempting to make an apples-to-apples comparison is difficult, but I did an cheap overlay of two players who achieved the same $/hand winrate, one playing limit, the other no-limit. Here's the graph:

red line is a no-limit player playing 25NL 6-max for 17,000 hands
green line is a limit player mixing up .25/.50, .50/1 limit 6-max and a little .50/1 limit HU, also 17,000 hands
blue line is the mean winrate they share over the 17k hands. You can see that the red line varies much more widely around the mean.

you can get sophisticated with table selection, avoiding or targeting specific players. Or you can simply look at the statistics in the PokerStars client, sitting at tables with high players/flop or whatever you like.

I do a lot of "passive" (or after-the-fact) table selection, where I sit at tables pretty liberally, but then leave selectively if I don't like the mix of opponents or the seating positions.

Bear in mind that seat selection is potentially more important than table selection. Having bad position on a LAG might make you want to leave a table that you would love to sit at if you could simply shift two seats to your left.
