Thank you very much for advice.
I'm gonna try your thoughts in my game!

PS - which number shows the blinds posted when not in blinds
"(1) You seem to sometimes post blinds outside of the blinds. Don't do that. On the table shown, it's over 30% of your total winnings, basically blown through impatience. Just wait for the blinds. "

The column "Amount blind" shows all the money you posted. It should be zero outside of the blinds. It's borderline OK to post in the cutoff in full ring, but I don't do that either. All the rest is just money thrown away.

NOTE: I use HEM rather than PT3, but I'm pretty sure that's what that column means.

I registered just for this thread and would like to pre-thank anyone who replies...

I'm a winning tournament player, but I'm doing so awful in 2-4 limit games it's ridiculous. I really am not sure what I'm doing wrong. I feel like I'm just SUCKING so bad after flop but I've been running very cold. This is all on pokerstars I xferred over to clear bonus, and am down about 300. Again playing full ring 2/4 limit mostly. some 1/2 also

I don't know how many players in here play limit, but I'm guessing not a lot so don't expect too many responses.

How comes you play limit, ever fancied no limit?

So I figured I'd post this here before I start a new thread and clog up the boards, so here goes.

My big question is about my non-showdown vs showdown winnings - recently my non-showdown winnings have taken off, while my showdown winnings have gone to hell. Granted this is only over 6k hands, but it's very distinctly different from the first 12k hands and I think there must be some change that's taken place, i just can't figure it out. So, here's the graphs for both all 18k and the last 6k, along with the basic stats (sorry, I have copilot since I'm mac'd. I could post positional stats too if people think that'd help). What do you think has changed that's causing my non-showdown to all of a sudden go so positive while at the same time my showdown go so negative? It doesn't look like I'm seeing more flops etc. Anything?

Also, is this a bad thing? A good thing? I don't really know how to interpret non-showdown vs showdown...

Hey everyone,
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to give me some feedback!

Been playing poker for a while, but haven't really taken the time to truly learn the game. I bought a stox membership so I've been going through some videos, and I definitely still have a lot to learn. Here are my stats from the last 15k hands of 6max 10c NL.

I would like to get my vpip up to around 21 and have a smaller gap between my vpip and pfr.

Any other advice would be really helpful!!

Thanks

Hi all.
Long time lurker.
Been playing for just under 2 years, I am a winner live [yes, I keep records], loser online.

Playing micro stakes 6-man ring on FT trying to gather as much data as I can for analysis. I told myself 2,000 hands but here I am at 1,735.

I am wondering what you might be able to tell me by looking at the included set of data. If you need anything else, please let me know.

Really interested in honing game and finding leaks and winning online. Granted I play in pretty wild home games, I do really well, averaging approx 5BI's per session live. I'm about break-even [lol rake] after these 1,735.

Thanks. oh, in b4 "too small of sample size" and "enjoy ur cheezbrgers"

the 2 biggest leaks i see initially are that you play too many hands from the blinds, and you fold too much on the flop. you also call a bit too much pre flop - try and get the vpip/ pfr figures closer together.

would be better if u posted a screen shot of the "position" tab. i.e. your stats by position.

also, post a couple hand histories where you werent sure if u made the right decisions at various points in the hand. dont include results though, and do include any info on villain

I just scanned it briefly but caught this right away

your vpip and pfr are quite far apart, play less hands unless you have a huge edge over your opponents postflop, im guessing your leaking money that way.

C-bet the flop more your c-bet should be higher

and dont call so many flop bets and then fold turn

Edit: and last I checked you can't get cheeseburgers when you win -4 dollars :P

i have marked a few hands for review but i don't know how to bring them up. any help there?

here is my position tab. ever seen someone losing the most from the button? fark that hurts my brain.

thanks. for your comments. i will be reading and re-reading them.

if i dont flop to it, i pretty much shut down unless im getting correct odds on my draw. then i flat call.

my c-bets are usually around 75% of the pot. i try to raise pf a lot and cbet a lot. i shut down on the turn like a mofo.

turn is hard.

maybe cheeseburgers after rakeback

edit: thinking about my play, i dont always shut down on the turn. if i have bet to protect my hand vs a draw, and it doesnt come, i definitely fire again. about 2/3rd the pot on the flop and 2/3rd on the turn. if it doesnt come on the river i typically bet and they fold. maybe i should bet let.

i definitely like to get a lot of money in the middle when i'm ahead, and think i may be too agressive here. but i have heard that taking down the pot now is just as good as taking it down later.

Hi all,
Hoping you guys could help me find some leaks in my game. The first 7k hands is mostly 5NL and the rest is 10NL, all full ring.

If there is anything else you want to know just ask, figured most of it was covered in the screenshots.

Thanks in advance

Hello, I'm new to the site and fairly new to poker in that I am getting more serious about my play. I've been playing in a poker league (home game) for the last three years and recently started playing online for real money. I am currently, playing $2 NL SNG mostly 6 MAX. I am interested in any and all feedback be it positive or negative.

Hello,

Here is a graph of my first 10k hands at 25nl 6 max, wondering if anyone see's any clear leaks (besides that I don't win) that I could work on.

I have been playing poker for about a year, started playing sng's with mixed results, played some limit, but have really been working on nl cash games.

Been trolling these forums for a while now, but only recently decided to grind 10k hands and post for some advice.

Thanks for any help in advance..

I just quickly glanced over your positional stats, and you look too loose OOP, and not quite loose enough IP. Play tighter UTG imo, and you could probably steal more OTB. Looks a little to LP from the blinds. You also may be showing down a little too much/ playing too passive. I didnt see 3betting or cbetting stats, since Im not familiar with pt3. Hard to really tell though, 10k is still a small sample.

Ok, here are my stats from my first 10k hands of 2NL 6-max.

Overall stats:

Positional stats:

Winnings:

Showdown/Non-showdown winnings:

One thing I noticed when I looked at the Showdown/Non-showdown winnings is that, contrary to a lot of players, my showdown winnings were in the minus but my non-showdown winnings were positive, just about keeping me profitable over the first 5000 hands, which I think was me betting at anything and everything, relying on fold equity to win hands and calling too much when I was second favourite. After reading a couple of posts on here about ABC poker in the micros and looking for fat value, I started to play a lot tighter postflop, which I think is one of the reasons (as well as going on a bit of a heater) that my blue line is on the up and my red line is on its way down.

Anyway, any thoughts would be great. Thanks a lot guys.

Hi everyone!

I started yesterday to try to build up my bankroll at NL2 Fullring @ Pokerstars with my $60 Bankroll. Multitabling 24 tables using SirCuddles "Complete guide to beating the micros" and i think it have worked out quite well.

I´ve been playing slightly over 10k hands the last 2 days and i will post my stats here so you guys can give me some advice how i should develop my game. Just need a couple of advice since i dont want to change to much at the same time.

Also my plan is to stay at NL2 until my roll reach 150dollars and right now im at 105dollar. Should i stick with that plan or alreday move up to NL5.

Edit. Im playing NL2 with 100bb cause i want to learn it that way since my plan is to move up to NL10 or higher wheres the maximum buy in is 100BB´s.

Give me some advice!

So its just about day10 for me of real money games with my $20 deposit.

bankroll about ~$93, but not much of it from cashgames (I play 2NL)...all luck

won $23.25 tournament with $1 buyin, $34 from 60 hands of 25NL (was on downswing ..i went into tilt)

so basically, i have LESS than $19 of cash game winnings which composes 95%+ of the time played, ALL of which was made on first 3 days.

Since about day3 of my play I have been breaking even or worse...

Any suggestions ?

2NL:

Quickly glancing:

@lyncho, play tighter UTG and UTG+1 imo. Especially at 2nl, no reason to loosen up there. I would also suggest not calling so much particularly OOP.

@rsala, not enough hands, but you are way too loose/passive preflop, get VP and PFR closer together

In general, is it just me being a HEM snob, or do the PT3 reports suck?

@rsala

Stop limping so much. Limping should be rare, you wanting to be entering pots with raises... and stop posting blinds when it isn't your turn. Play way less from the SB (and stop completing so much) Also, more hands.

@uofi2012

HEM snob imo

Running like **** and thought surely I could change the way I play to improve things rather than just blame variance. Any help would be appreciated, I can provide more info if needed

Hello,

Long story (but not post!) short, I've been playing poker for about 1year now, my bankroll has been living on bonuses/rakeback/easy mode 2-3$ sng/easy cashgames (Everest Poker /lol) as i am a marginal losing/break-even player.

I've decided to get things straight and figure out NL10 6max on FTP, wanting to gain a good 25 more buyins before moving on to the next level (I'm at ~30 buyins atm). I got myself Hold'em Manager.

Here are my stats for the past 12k hands.

(1)Graph

(2)Overall stats (LeakBuster)

(3)Positional stats

(4)River hand strength stats

If I can make some observations out of this:

#1 - Red line on (1) is -bb/100, which probably means I don't win enough pots on bluffs/semi-bluffs; question is, do I really need to at NL10?

#2 -Aggression factor on (2), it looks rather high. Thoughts? What could be the reason? How should I fix it?

#3 - VPIP/PFR on (2), I look rather tight for 6max, what hands am I not playing that I should be? Also, see (3) for VPIP/PFR by position.

#4 - SB, BB, mid & cutoff on (3) are losing positions. I understand SB and BB, but why mid & cutoff?

#5 - One pair hands on (4) is a HUGE losing showdown hand, do I stack off too easily with one pair hands?

Thanks for reading this huge wall of text, you don't need to answer to all of these questions - one answer and I will be grateful!

WTFLUSH?

Well 10bb/100 which is equivalent to 5ptbb/100 is an excellent winrate and congrats your doing it right. As for your redline, study videos on when to two barrel more and 3bet preflop. Look to barrel a lot of face card turns and valuebet more hand on the river. I don't think you should valuebet 3rd pair on the river after 3barreling but look to bet a hand on the river you think he may call with worse.
Also for stats I like the won that shows what you have on the flop (draw, three of a kind, top pair +draw, top pair and no draw) to see .
Also your steal is kind of low. Look to raise about 25% -30% of hands from the CO and 30-50% (depending on opponents) OTB.

Hello to all. This is my first post and I am glad to join this community. I have been playing for about 6 years. Mostly local casinos (FL) with not too many options in card games or limits. I recently decided to deposit and it has been a whirlwind. I definitely need improvement and would like some opinions. I have posted my stats and would appreciate any feedback. Keep in mind I started with 100$ and Poker Tracker 3. I went up to 1,800$ profit, then down to 144$ total. Then back to 1,600$ and down to 0. I am guessing the limits I lose my money in are too rich for my bankroll.

Yes read about bankroll management. You need twenty 100bb buy ins. So if you are playing .25/.50 you need at least 1,000 to play this level.
