What could be improved

Now I know it takes 100s of thousands of hands to get any sort of meaningful average, but until I get there I would very much like to improve along the way, from my sessions since the 3rd and the stats you can see, what could I be doing better, raising more etc etc. The 4th was a very bad day, I tilted and paid big for it, but took someones advice to print out a big bold A4 piece of paper with the word "FOLD" on it above my monitor, and since it has been working I can now fold pocket kings with an ACE on the board and pressure from my opponent. Step at a time as they say All input appreciated.

Is this fullring or 6max? If 6max, then you are way too tight.

Nole,,,,,,,not in this thread. This is reserved for members to post their statistics and get opinions.

My advice would be to read a bunch of threads in the body of the Beginners Questions area here on 2+2. Also use the Search function using terms like "new player", "getting started" and "what to study"

When you post again (outside this thread) add in info that will help us assist you on your pokering.

at a minimum.....
What is your experience?
What games do you want to learn (many different varieties of poker around)?
Tournament or cash games?

That said, if you are just getting started, you might look over this incredible compilation of full ring poker strat:
Micro FR Concept of the Week Index. Scroll through the list of threads for a topic or find the earliest posts and read them all.

Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

Hi,

I have played around 5000 hands on ignition (zoom format) and have been getting eaten alive. I'm looking to go and take a break and do some studying, but I'm not sure what to focus on.

What are my major downfalls as a player? (Besides being an ATM for the other players...)

(And if you need more information about how I play, let me know I will add)

I am attaching graphs and stats from PT4 - hopefully, they help. Let me know if you need more information as well.

Please go easy, I'm not good, I know! Thanks for any help

One thing is it seems you have no understanding of how our ranges should change by position. Some indications also that you may like calling a bit too much, whether it's limping pre, calling (especially out of the sb), or chasing post (though it's hard to say exactly without seeing hands). Position is really important, and you should be playing the btn very differently from EP, for example.

I would advise you not to play higher than you need to (losing 2500bb as a new player is super normal, but losing that at 5nl would only be $125 instead of the $500 lost) and probably investing in some fundamental training like The Grinder's Manual (book) or the Upswing Lab (video content).

Also, post more hands on 2p2 in general to get feedback on more specific lines.

Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

Hi guys, I was directed here by a friend who said this was a great community for NLHE. Many of my peers only play recreationally so I'm looking for a network to get feedback. I worked up a decent sample size and was wondering if anything stood out. It seems to be okay but ultimately I want to improve. Any advice is appreciated.

Some backstory: Played about 3 years of live poker but recently decided to take a real stab online.

Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

Hi,

I appreciate that this doesn't fare too well for my chances of mastering poker but I'm struggling to master saving my HEM2 positional stats as they only have the option to save in HTML or CSV format rather than the PNG that my cash results graph will save as.

I used to play a lot and worked my way up to beating micro 25NL for about 6/7 BB/100 up until a brutal shot at 50NL resulted in me moving back down and pathetically failing to beat even 2NL. In hindsight this probably had a lot to do with too much drinking and not enough studying but that's by the by.

Anyway, relatively sober me has decided to give it another go playing 6 max zoom starting from the bottom, this time with less drinking and more studying.

Here's my stats over my first ~12K hands which I was hoping for some feedback from:

VPIP: - 22.1%
PFR: - 18.2%
3 bet: - 6.15%
FT3bet: - 56.9%
Steal: - 41.2%
FT Steal: - 77%
Post flop agg: - 3.74
Agg: - 45.7%
Flop CBET: - 72%
Flop FT CBET: - 44.7%
Turn CBET: - 39.1%
Turn FT CBET: - 56.4%
WTSD%: - 23.5%
W$SD:%: - 48.5%
W$WSF: - 50.5%

At the moment I'm breaking about even $EV wise but down in real $.

I feel that my main leak is flop FT CBet at 44.7% which is probably the main cause of my SD stats being low.
My FT 3Bet at 56.9% is probably a bit low, which I think is due to calling low pocket pairs and suited connectors vs a 3Bet in position, which I should probably stop doing. I also think that I'm CBetting too much after 3Betting a steal from the blinds.

Other than that, I'm relatively happy with my stats, any ideas on if I'm on the right track or if there's other leaks that I haven't spotted?

Thanks!

Use the Windows 10 snipping tool, or press ALT+PrintScreen to save a copy of the desktop to your clipboard, and then PASTE it into an image editor (even Paint will work), then you can trim and save it as a JPG/PNG and upload to imgur.

Thank you! The snipping tool did the job!

I hardly ever look at this thread as it's not very active. If you post your images in the equivalent one in the Micro/SmallStakes forum, it's more likely to get analysed.

Question Am I a POW ? Wtf is wrong with my blue line

Hey dudes!
Check out my showdown line. Am I calling down light or what the hell am I doing wrong?

Basically, can someone who understand graphs tell me what's probably the cause of it and where it should be?

Thanks!

Not a lot of hands, but once I reach 20k-ish hands or so, we can repeat the process

That high redline and low blueline would typically indicate that you're more aggro than most players. When your bluffs work, you get the redline winnings, but when the bluffs don't work, you're seeing showdowns with the worst hand more often. It's not a problem if your overall results (green and orange) are positive. Nittier regs press the CHECK and FOLD buttons more often than you do.

Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

@Lavinin you're just playing way too lose overall. You can't play 27% of hands at full ring and make money. That's a higher VPIP than most 6-max players!
In EP, you can only open about 10% of hands, so you should be pressing the FOLD button a lot more often when UTG and UTG+1.

The C Blind column is weird too. If I'm understanding that stat, it looks like you've posted your blind OOP a few times. Don't do that. Wait for the BB.

If the full ring forum is still active, the stats thread in it should have someone replying that has more experience of nitring than I do, so I'd recommend posting there if you want more feedback. I mostly only look at 6-max stats, and this thread is kind of dead.

Hi all,

I've been a long time loser at 2nl zoom and have recently come back to give it another shot. Here are my stats - any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.

^ I looked at those in the microstakes forum. The stats thread over there is more active, so it's best to post there in future.

Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

I have been gone from the tables for a while after grinding way too hard before, my life went through a sudden change of path from being just grinding with no purpose in life to now going to school, having a wonderfurl girlfriend and a part time job to cover expenses. Now that I have sorted my **** together I feel for adding poker back as a secondary income, due to my deep passion for it and the rewards I can reap from it. I just wanted to post my MTT stats from the small sample I have played since coming back to the virtual felt, and see if there is anything obvious for me to work on since I am rusty after half a year barely thinking/playing poker.

The stats:

Thanks for any answers!

Hi everyone, long time lurker, first time poster.

18k hands over 5NL. Struggling.

Under EV, but also only just starting to enforce basic strategy. I.e, blind stealing (I think this is partly why my Button stats are so bad?).

All feedback greatly appreciated.
