What could be improved

Now I know it takes 100s of thousands of hands to get any sort of meaningful average, but until I get there I would very much like to improve along the way, from my sessions since the 3rd and the stats you can see, what could I be doing better, raising more etc etc. The 4th was a very bad day, I tilted and paid big for it, but took someones advice to print out a big bold A4 piece of paper with the word "FOLD" on it above my monitor, and since it has been working I can now fold pocket kings with an ACE on the board and pressure from my opponent. Step at a time as they say All input appreciated.

Is this fullring or 6max? If 6max, then you are way too tight.

Nole,,,,,,,not in this thread. This is reserved for members to post their statistics and get opinions.

My advice would be to read a bunch of threads in the body of the Beginners Questions area here on 2+2. Also use the Search function using terms like "new player", "getting started" and "what to study"

When you post again (outside this thread) add in info that will help us assist you on your pokering.

at a minimum.....
What is your experience?
What games do you want to learn (many different varieties of poker around)?
Tournament or cash games?

That said, if you are just getting started, you might look over this incredible compilation of full ring poker strat:
Micro FR Concept of the Week Index. Scroll through the list of threads for a topic or find the earliest posts and read them all.

Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

Hi,

I have played around 5000 hands on ignition (zoom format) and have been getting eaten alive. I'm looking to go and take a break and do some studying, but I'm not sure what to focus on.

What are my major downfalls as a player? (Besides being an ATM for the other players...)

(And if you need more information about how I play, let me know I will add)

I am attaching graphs and stats from PT4 - hopefully, they help. Let me know if you need more information as well.

Please go easy, I'm not good, I know! Thanks for any help

One thing is it seems you have no understanding of how our ranges should change by position. Some indications also that you may like calling a bit too much, whether it's limping pre, calling (especially out of the sb), or chasing post (though it's hard to say exactly without seeing hands). Position is really important, and you should be playing the btn very differently from EP, for example.

I would advise you not to play higher than you need to (losing 2500bb as a new player is super normal, but losing that at 5nl would only be $125 instead of the $500 lost) and probably investing in some fundamental training like The Grinder's Manual (book) or the Upswing Lab (video content).

Also, post more hands on 2p2 in general to get feedback on more specific lines.

Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

Hi guys, I was directed here by a friend who said this was a great community for NLHE. Many of my peers only play recreationally so I'm looking for a network to get feedback. I worked up a decent sample size and was wondering if anything stood out. It seems to be okay but ultimately I want to improve. Any advice is appreciated.

Some backstory: Played about 3 years of live poker but recently decided to take a real stab online.
