Review

A lot of Villain's air is going to give up after cbetting flop + we have diamonds. Not sure if he is value betting QT for 3 streets, leaving QJ/KQ/AQ/QQ/KK/AA, sets, and maybe 76s/65s.

Possible bluffs... maybe JTs/J9s?

Thoughts?

I think the river is a fold. I doubt he’s betting a Q with a weaker kicker again, especially not when he’s betting 2/3 pot on the river after making it 1/2 pot both on the flop and turn.

You need to be good almost 30% of the time and I have a hard time finding that many hands that you beat and possibly bluffs.

Don't post results, your thread title makes it obvious you lost the hand

Think madlex is right, but I wonder if there's an argument to raise the turn given we've picked up a flush draw - we don't mind winning the pot now and I think some better hands may fold, if villain just flats he prob checks the river then we can get to showdown cheaply if we miss or bomb it if we hit. Sucks if he reraise jams turn, but what does that which we're not already behind to? Maybe boats, but is being forced off a draw to a second best hand in that case a bad thing?

Folding more rivers is on the top of the list of things you need to learn to beat the micros.

At higher stakes where opponents are more balanced this is probably too high in your range to fold, but river bluffs are rare at this stake and you can exploit the population by folding bluffcatchers. Lot's of people won't value bet QJ here, either (and they shouldn't).

I wouldn't raise the turn. Rarely better folds and rarely worse calls.

I 3-bet pre by default, although calling is also slightly profitable.

I have AQo in my flatting range pre, so I'm calling down with that. KQs can fold river at these stakes. It's not massively terrible to be a hero though. Some players will have some random hand (or the same as yours) and you'll be close to breakeven in the long run. I wouldn't sweat it too much when you call with a breakeven bluff-catcher. It would be problematic if you called down with QJs or QTs or worse though. KQ is right on the cusp.

Appreciate the complete thought process. I haven't studied too much about 3bet pots since I took a break. Maybe flatting KQs and 3betting KQs is a reasonable compromise.

you have no stats on villain? vs loose open im 3betting kq 100% of time, i hate finding myself in the spot you're in calling down vs an uncapped range, seems to end in getting stacked more often than not.

vs a nit im just folding pre, or even 3b/folding
in non gto setting vs average pool, IDK why people like flatting with these dominated hands TBH, i think there is a time and place to do so, but, you need reads/stats to find them.
