This is a hand that happened months ago that I had recorded and watched yesterday.
.5/1 online. Only 3 sitting at the time.
Hero in sb with 130bb with A
Q
V1 (friend of mine) in bb with 320bb
V2 on button with 143bb
V2 opens to $3
Hero 3b to $10.50, BB folds, V2 calls. No super read on V2.
Pot $22. Flop comes 6
6
9
Hero leads for $15, v folds
I know this is an anti-climactic hand but I have questions about it.
I feel like my 3b sizing is ok. Maybe sliiightly on the larger side but with me being out of position I feel like it is ok.
The flop is where my real question is. Should I have lead this flop? I feel sure now that my sizing was too large, I think something close to $8-$10 might have been better. But I also know that we check our nfd sometimes.
If I do make the flop bet smaller, get a call, and brick the turn what then? I feel like most v would have raised a flop bet with a 6, flatted with a 9/heart combo/st combo/Ak/kJ with a heart. So I think barrelling the turn isn't terrible if its not a completely scary card. Opinions?
