Hi,
Tomorrow I will be hosting a live cash game of £0.05/0.10 with 6 others. We've played a couple tournament games before so I have a rough idea of how some people play. 3 of us, including me have been practicing online and researching.
One is fairly LAG, another is quite passive but isn't afraid to bluff-shove. The rest are all very fishy, including one guy who is basically a calling-station and doesn't play any different if he has the nuts or not.

How best should I play against the different opponent types and where should I aim to sit myself to have the best opportunities.

I would still consider myself a beginner, so any help or general advice would be appreciated also!

Thanks, Jax118

If you can choose your position, you want the loose-passive players (e.g. limpers) directly to your right (so you can isolate and value-bet them easily, while also not have to defend your blinds aggressively), the tight-passive nits directly to your left (so you can steal their blinds, and fold to their 3-bets and raises), and the most aggressive player as far away as possible (i.e. on the opposite side of the table) so you don't have to play as many high variance pots vs him.

P.S. Don't make it too obvious that you are "bumhunting" the weakest player. No one wants a friendly homegame turning into a fist fight, and people won't come back if you make it clear that you're trying to get position on a fish.

5p/10p game? Just work out the other people's weaknesses and exploit them, i.e. play poker, if they're as bad as you make them out to be (which I would imagine is you overestimating your ability) then wherever you sit isn't that big a deal

I'm not up to date on bp to $ conversion, but if that's <50 bucks on the line? Your priority should be having fun first. Just sit wherever you want; try to make the best plays considering your position and the players around you; let the chips fall where they may.

good luck
