It boils down to personal preference. Most software gives you a free version to post 5 sessions and then if you want to purchase the app, you can. I have tried both Run Good and Poker Income. Poker income is easy to use and export the data for back up. This allows you to export from iPhone and move to android or vice versa without having to input all of the data.

I use poker bankroll tracker. It is free unless you want an add free version and even then it is only like $9 or something. I have logged right at 100 sessions in it. It calculates your hourly, bb/100, roi, and plenty of other numbers. It allows you to filter sessions by location/stakes/days/months/years. It also shows graphs, and has a hand replayer and equity calculator.

All of my online play counts hands and it can be filtered by online and live play. So yes it can be a useful stat. I don't pay attention to it, I was just listing some things the app calculates. I am not generally a combative person but are you as much of a douche in person as you are on 2p2? Your negative and snarky comments probably keep people from asking legit questions that a good answer may benefit them in their growth as a poker player.

kittrell, the thread is about playing live in a casino and sixfour appropriately asked if you actually count (and input into an app) the number of hands you play during live play.

Otherwise how would an app calculate bb/100?

I get what you're saying. But who is to say that the op doesn't or wont count hands per hour played live. It is unlikely, but possible. And like I said, I was just stating some of the features of the app. Plenty of which may or may not be applicable to the op's needs, but they are there regardless.

I know sixfour is an OG here, but seeing the way he words some of his posts in a criticizing way rather than constructive rubs me wrong I guess.

sixfour is a curmudgeon. direct answers that even with sharp thorns usually hit to the heart of the matter. I don't care much for his manner either.....but what I find a bit more bothersome is (lately) the derails when people complain about his posting MO instead of trying to stay on topic.

I wish both sides would chill a bit...but not likely to happen. 64 doesn't get a pass because he's been here for ages. I read all his posts in BQ. When he steps over with personal attacks, the mods respond. But it goes both ways in that respect.

Back to the op.... I tried every free option I could find for ios and poker bankroll tracker was hands down the most comprehensive for free or a small amount of money that isn't a "subscription". It is free to try so if you don't like it, you didn't lose anything.
