A Little Info is a Dangerous Thing A Little Info is a Dangerous Thing

To all you newbs out there, be careful how you apply the info you learn from this site. Tonight I witnessed some extreme absurdity at a plo table online from a losing reg. He overcalled a flop bet with Ace high no draw! A few people in chat asked him why and he said, "I had an spr of 1 so I had to call". Now here is a guy who knows enough to know what spr means yet is stupid enough to call because of it in plo while pretty much drawing dead. Make sure you know what you're talking about before you apply things that you "learn".

Half the people on here don't know the actual definition of SPR and how to use it correctly, so it's hardly surprising.

I could write a wall of text about the pros and cons of using 2+2 in general, and BQ specifically, as a learning resource for poker, but that would...

Bore the pants off everybody
Wind up a lot of BQ regs

...so I'm just going to go ahead and agree with you.

One thing I found out very quickly is that a high post count may be associated with seniority, but very much is uncorrelated to poker skill level!

Guys, it seems we tend to not recognize the fact that 2+2 is not a coaching site.
It's players asking for or giving advice to other players. It's basically a poker discussion group. And that's what I find so great about it.
P.s. I'm willing to guess your average 2+2 member are better poker players than your average none 2+2 members.
