Thanks for the advice, i'm going to do this.

Stuck $65 on Lock/Revolution

SnG's don't go off as quick as I have hoped, cash games selection is alright though.

Re: June Beginners Bankroll Thread

Had a great May and looking to repeat it in June.

Bankroll from $25 to sitting on $92 for the beginning of June Tilt still a major factor of my game.. I always go on tilt when my shot taking goes wrong.. I swear if my shot taking just went right the first attempt I would be in a better place..

Going to stay on 888 room this time. No more cashing out! Time to build a proper roll and play bigger MTTs!

Re: June Beginners Bankroll Thread

I just had an interesting session I loaded up ipoker and see a few PLO10 games running and get on the waiting lists. I'm waiting around and go look at PLO4 games and sit in a load of them. I then am curious to see if there's any PLO20 action and there's about 10 games running. So I hopped into a few. I got a bit of an ugly beat and am now down $20 as i'm grinding PLO4 games. It feels stupid playing PLO4 when it takes so much work to make the equivalent of 1 buy-in and was feeling frustrated at my luck of getting a beat when I take a shot. So I drop the PLO4 games, mix PLO10 and 20 together. Proceeded to run pretty good. I think I won one of my biggest PLO pots today. I decided to quit session early as i'm really too short to be playing PLO20 + I didn't want to get cocky. I'll grind later.

I decided to play AKQx and flopped top 2 so made a donk bet. Turn seemed pretty safe to fire. How wrong was I. Down 1 buy-in fast

So I was down a buy-in. I was loading up tables and saw the dreaded € games. But I decided to still play even though it's even more expensive to play there. I picked up KKxx and a lot of money went in pre so thought in position I could take a flop. The flop was a dream and I was anticipating a sweat. Turn was so nice to see I made about €40 in that pot.

Some more run good flopping nuts with nut flush draw. I got it in on turn and was just hoping board didn't pair but quietly hoping I could scoop the lot. The river complied

This felt a little thin by me admittedly. I was thinking maybe someone had AAxx but I stacked off to the wrong person. Fortunately had some run good in it. The variance in these games is sick and I know my roll's too short for it.

Re: June Beginners Bankroll Thread

Question: I only have $6.50+ on the poker website, and it's all on one table. I know this isn't proper BRM, but if I go busto, I'll just redeposit. Does that mean that I shouldn't really worry about BRM pertaining to the $$ amount in my poker account?

Your bankroll doesn;t have to be just what is on a site. But you need to have a clear idea what is your bankroll to call it a bankroll.

Blah... Let me just ship you the money and you can do what you want with it. I'll send it on stars, so what is the basic challange? So we're clear.

Still haven't made up my mind if I want to go Revolution or RPM, leaning RPM b/c Lock CS has been pretty awful, glitches and basic stuff u would think they'd have prepared ahead of time.

Might just stick $100 or small amount like u did on Rev (since I will have rest of month to deposit to get 200% bonus if they can get their **** together) with a big chunk on RPM to clear their 100% bonus and daily promos. *I have 35-36% RB on both*

The structures on Rev look pretty sick tho

Thoughts?

Software although looks alright, still drives me bonkers. Having to click "take my seat" each SnG sucks.

The SnG structures (hypers) look good, but they load sooo slow (even @ the micros). Most of Locks traffic seems to be cash games.

Re: June Beginners Bankroll Thread

Nah, still using TN but it will come in handy if I decide to switch to Lock - I'm going to wait a week till things die down and see if I want to put a small sum on there to grind.

Another issue is verification take ages + cashout times - although I can Xfer to stars - Paying 10% vig sucks.

Also, dunno if I'm tagged to my affiliate (RTR) since my page still is showing pending verification and locks admin/player website doesn't show any rakeback being paid.

Re: June Beginners Bankroll Thread

Fwiw there is decent DoN and HU hyper traffic on Lock (I play hu hypers $15s, decent action, reggy but 95% of the regs are godawful)...unfortunately other sngs don't really run except other speed hu games, even the hyper 6m/9m.

My may:

Won lots of money playing hypers (60bi, ~35evbi), lost some playing flhuhu sngs and donked off some at 25hunl. Also bricked every single mtt I played.

Now:

Lock ---> Revolution, got megadoomswitched and lost 25 or 30bi at hypers in the past couple days, down a bit playing flhu but I did cash a tournament! Made about 8bi back at hypers today but we'll see how it goes.

I'm planning on using the thread this month, but I've taken to closing tables during the end of game flips (after board runout) but because of this I lose the last hhs and the import breaks on my hem (doesn't work perfect on rev). I don't really know why I do this, but rev husngs have no rematch button and it sucks.

So instead here is my graph since lock left merge to become revolution...games from thursday afternoon to now. Pretty happy with my vol thus far, hope to keep it up.

If anyone has any hyper qs (not many hu hyper grinders itt I think) feel free to pm or ask, but I kinda suck

Re: June Beginners Bankroll Thread

^ hyper HU grinder mainly playing turbo HUSNG on stars - but I was intending to switch to hypers on Lock.

I think I was @ 7% ROI for $7's and ~3% @ $15 Hypers - but when you get doomswitched/downswing - it feels terrible.

I'll send you a PM with my skype if you want to discuss stuff - I guess end game turbos are similar to hypers.

Re: June Beginners Bankroll Thread

Sure, feel free to send the skype

Lock traffic is actually pretty decent for husngs as long as you're fine playing lots of fishregs. And there being no rematch button (for now). The structure is the exact same as stars and the rake is equivalent (at lowstakes, actually lower than ps at mid-highstakes) plus effective rb rates are just insane.

Turbos run a fair bit too and are raked pretty reasonably.

Those are impressive roi numbers, can I ask what your samples were?

Re: June Beginners Bankroll Thread

Well after my good run with PLO20 yesterday I went back on the grind. I lost some back last night at PLO4/10 playing a little spewy and not running so well. I was still up nicely on the day so not feeling too bad. Came back today, went up a little. Then stacked off light in a few places and then I started running super ****. Got absolutely stomped Some fish on my left ran **** hot too which didn't help things. It's so crushing to play a game like this. I don't know what to do, my roll goes up with the rakeback and down with the play until I have some hot run. But then I can't seem to maintain it. It really does feel like a waste of time. Maybe I should move to PLO20 and just run hot there and play disciplined. I'm not sure where to go from here. Just need to get some consistent luck.

One of the hands which did work out. I bet flop with overpair + flush draw + backdoor flush draw. I bet turn with 2 flush draws. I didn't think villain was likely to have been drawing to a backdoor nut flush so I called.

I despair at this stuff sometimes. Yes I got a lucky turn, but look how little I had to put in. Get it in as a huge favourite and then 2 outer on the river

*puke* I obviously flopped the nuts and the fish with just a crap flush draw calls off and hits. Unbelievable....

Really?......I have AAxx. I thought turn was great. How wrong was I....

Silly me for not putting them on quads Seems like when it rains, it ****s all over me.

I was feeling a little tilted by this stage. Decided to 3bet in position and called the 4bet as my hand can play pretty well. I obviously flopped the nuts for stacking off and missed it all

One of the big pots which did work out, at the tables too.

**** I was so tilted at this point. I put in 60+bb with my hand. In fairness I did have blockers and double suited. I flopped the nuts and just hoped I wasn't up against AA or a flush draw. I wasn't! It was all looking so good and then I got stomped.

Re: June Beginners Bankroll Thread

This really happened:

Merge - $0.04 NL - Holdem - 8 players
SB: $3.77
BB: $4.64
Hero (UTG): $5.15
UTG+1: $4.00
MP: $0.54
MP+1: $4.53
CO: $7.60
BTN: $4.00

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.06) Hero has K K

Hero raises to $0.12, fold, fold, MP+1 calls $0.12, fold, fold, fold, fold

Flop: ($0.30, 2 players) 3 9 7
Hero bets $0.20, MP+1 calls $0.20

Turn: ($0.70, 2 players) Q
Hero bets $0.46, MP+1 calls $0.46

River: ($1.62, 2 players) T
Hero bets $1.00, MP+1 calls $1.00

Hero shows K K (One Pair, Kings) (Pre 18%, Flop 8%, Turn 5%)
MP+1 shows A A (One Pair, Aces) (Pre 82%, Flop 92%, Turn 95%)
MP+1 wins $3.44

At least he played it as poorly as he possibly could have and I lost the minimum.

Hand with some actual content, Villain is 31/17, extremely aggro postflop over a tiny sample, I was pretty sure he was raising a single spade hand on the turn, thought about shoving and then didn't because I'm a wuss and he could also potentially have two pair/a better King:

Merge - $0.04 NL - Holdem - 9 players
UTG+2: $4.00
MP: $4.68
MP+1: $4.00
CO: $3.05
BTN: $5.59
SB: $4.23
Hero (BB): $4.26
UTG: $2.23
UTG+1: $3.64

SB posts SB $0.02, Hero posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.06) Hero has K J

fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, CO calls $0.04, fold, SB calls $0.02, Hero raises to $0.16, fold, SB calls $0.12

Flop: ($0.36, 2 players) 5 3 9
SB checks, Hero bets $0.24, SB calls $0.24

Turn: ($0.84, 2 players) K
SB checks, Hero bets $0.46, SB raises to $1.63, Hero calls $1.17

River: ($4.10, 2 players) J
SB checks, Hero checks

Thoughts?

The only 2 pair combo that is reasonable is K9, everything he probably isn't gonna have unless hes playing 50%+ hands

Not much vol today but I spent time going over some theory, started not running terrible after playing poorly and running bad the first half of the day...vamoooo upswing! Most of the regs on rev are pretty awful (though I'm sure they all think the same about me )
