The first 1k hands or so are actually from yesterday but PT includes them in today's graph as they were played past midnight.
I do often think about ending my session when I'm up. Perhaps I should as it always seems to rebound... But I keep telling myself that I should just keep getting volume in and try not to let the results have any effect on my game. If I am to beat the game, then I must also be able to beat it even after winning a few BI. After today's session I'm once again down to breakeven at 25nl, but have earned lots of first deposit bonuses and stellar rewards to slightly boost my roll. And I've payed almost $400 in rake, so at least it seems I'm beating the opponents, though not quite the rake yet.
Sorry, I think Spain has won enough already, Portugal's turn now.
Yeah, I try tell myself the same but I always sissy out in the end! I just think to myself, at some point I'm going to play again so it essentially doesn't matter if I end the session now but since I always analyse my game daily I like to seea graph that is in the positive. I'm affected too much by the short term and not enough for the long term right now.
Been a good game so far, pity Spain are going to cost me some money unless they get something in the next 10 minutes! Knew I should of said it would go to ET.
Another day, another 3BIs down at 10nl, so BR down to $130 now.
I posted stats in uNL stats thread, read some stuff and did some hand reviews earlier and so felt in a good state of mind to give $10nl Zoom another try, but to no avail.
I can count the worst 10 pots I lost and they are are either coolers or TPTK I didn't lay down to aggro-tards who happened to 'have it' that time, or make their hand otr.
Even had some dude call my 4x UTG raise with TJo from SB, and I had AK. I flopped an Ace, he flopped open ended, he called two large bets, including when i hit trips ott, and obv rivered his straight. Standard cooler, but unfortunately my nearly 40k hands at 10nl now have been too full of coolers and I'm nearly $100 the wrong side of EV.
Fortunately (?) I've got the future in-laws staying as of tomorrow until Monday so won't be playing much if at all. Am going to use the break to get my head right again, finish reading The Theory of Poker, and hopefully come back ready to build my BR again.
got punked pretty hard at 5nl yesterday dropped about 5BI. ran KK into AA, set into overset... but also played ****ty in some spots. BR: 481.36.
will probably just play some 2nl 6max for kicks or just take a couple days off. pretty ****ty month over all. i think im down abit (not including the 45 i withdrew to purchase PT) even after unlocking $35 in rewards. time to turn **** around!
@Habsfan - how come you're playing NL5 with such a big roll? You think you're not ready for NL10 yet or a BRM nit? :P
I play from 2-10nl depending how i feel that day. 2nl is fun sometimes cuz its just 2 bucks and easy to find spots. i have played some 10nl this month, i find i get in so many ****ty spots while playing 5nl+ zoom since PT3 hud doesn't work on mac (for zoom) so its been tricky to move up. guess im a bit of a nit when it comes to BRM too haha, 50BI is obviously enough to play that stake.
made about $30 over 8-10k hands in the past couple days at 2nl 6-max got BR around $510 now. Il probably have to hit some more 5nl/10nl to keep silver this month, still need around 80 VPPs i think
Need to get 550VPPs in the next two days to get Goldstar, wasn't planning on getting goldstar this month but since I moved up to 25NL it's so much easier I might as well put in a little extra volume to get it. Should only take 5,000-6,000 hands. Had a decent day today, lots of ups and downs; was down 2BI but managed to recover to end up 1BI so everything is going good at the moment!
@Hawk
Hand 1 is wp, hand 2 just fold. His betsize is too big to b herocalling. Bad players love to slowplay, which is why folding to a river raise with only one pair will often be correct
Yeah, bad call but I thought he'd just be stabbing at the pot. I guess I didn't put him on a K, Q or a 2, so thought his most likely holdings were Ax, suited or connected cards or small-medium PP.
I know it's technically okay to check a FH to let people catch up, and if they bet, what would call?
Classic case of big hands winning small pots and I suppose both villains got a few more BB out of me than if they'd potted the flop.
Hawk, that second steal attempt is probably not loose depending on the blinds - and normally if one of them is loose enough that stealing with A4o isn't profitable, then it's a value bet.
Hilarious, made me lol. But seriously, u got to much time on your hands
Well, I was hoping to be enjoying a decent grind of online poker... but then I ran terrible and had to quit before the tilt set in. (I even had some 90/0 whale flat an EP open and my CC OOP with 83o... and flop trips - Just that kind of day )
Unlike BBV, people in BQ dont ridicule you (too much) for posting a cooler.
Plus, the gifs have a unique ability to calm me down... If this had been on my progress thread, I would have been making solid use of the profanity filter.
fold, fold, fold, MP+1 checks, CO calls $0.02, Hero raises to $0.10, SB calls $0.09, fold, fold, CO calls $0.08
Flop:($0.34, 3 players) 9 J 6
SB bets $1.90 and is all-in, fold, fold
Spoiler:
SB wins $0.33
2nd one, felt like a fish getting value bet here clinging onto 1 pair.
But I felt villain calling SB and donking while I had TP I could probably safely call him down.
