So, thought I'd go back to my roll on 888 after playing Zoom for past few months.
Played 20nl, the standard is apalling! Compared to Zoom, players are better at 5nl than 20nl there. Still, lost 2.5BIs. Just random stuff really that you cant predict/read, like calling to river with 3rdP and hitting 2P (73o fml!) to your TPTK. Just so funny if you can get thru the tears!

888 is so fishy its incredible. Its just a shame the traffic isn't the best
Its been do long since I've been crushing 2nl/5nl/10nl( 1 months and some change) that I'e forgotten how good it feels. I think I'm going to have to live vicariously through you

You're not wrong mate. Kept winning stacks then the fish just kept chipping away at my stack with river binks and random 2P hands that you just cant predict. You really do have to keep track of which type of fish they are or you end up making some bad calls. Was difficult to get back into the mindset of a river raise doesn't always mean they have the nuts, and then work out when to call/raise and when not to. Bit rusty on that front.
Was pretty gutted when I made the immortal nuts several times when 200bb's deep and got it all in otr for villain to show me same hand. On another day.....
Think I finished just under 2BIs down, but was actually pretty enjoyable going back to normal speed. If only the villains were as easy to read as on Zoom!
Started mixing in some turbos, mainly against 2 players. Something like 1-6 vs a guy at 18s and 8-2 vs a guy at 25s. Regular warriors gonna regular war. All the players at 15 hypers still suck (including myself). 30s regs seem a lot better, but I'm gonna be playing 15s for a while yet so we'll see when we get there.
In the black though heyhey! Lolvariance.
Also enprinte you never gave me your skype. It's problem.
First session since about tuesday. Started off ok winning a smallish pot at PLO10. I was only playing 10 & 4. Then I spewed a little getting it in a 40/60 spot which was probably avoidable. Spewed a little more on another table with top / bottom pair on A57cc flop. Feeling frustrated with the few tables running I moved up to PLO20 and decided to not bother playing short stacks at PLO4/10. I ran ok, seemed to win though. The pattern has been to lose at smaller stakes and run good / play better at PLO20. Not sure if it's the money meaning i'm a bit more focused or just sample size. Still too short to be playing the 20 game properly but managed to get a win on the session (albeit not a big one.) Might grind later on at the smaller games and donk it back
I had just won a smallish pot on this table. Thought villain was a bit of a donk and a bit tilted with losing the pot. Decided to stack off on the flop with a lot of equity and bricked
A successful hero call at PLO20. I did tank on this, didn't think much value in betting river. Only hand which made sense to me was K5 / 95. I figured range was so polarised to boats and that flushes would be too dangerous to bet. Fortunately I was right and it wasn't someone value betting thin.
Quite a nice size pot for me. Dream flop. I didn't like the turn and with 50bb left behind on river I didn't really want to shove it because I was scared of getting snapped by a donk drawing to nut flush but that didn't happen
This wasn't so fun I had J798ds and decided to 3bet it in position. Flop wasn't amazing for me so I decided to check behind. I turned nuts + redraw to better straights + redraw to flush and bet ready to get it in. Hated the river

more frustrating than feel good at NL2 haha. Can't wait to move up to NL5 though it may just be as fishy from what i've heard
Usually I'd agree with you, but Im going to have a spare $50 to top up my account with in a couple of days, so my effective roll is a little over $100 which I think is fine to try starting out at $5nl. Obviously if things go wrong and I lose a bit of money I'll move down back to 2nl until I'm more confident of my play.

Its just a fishy up to 50nl IMO. Seems like 2nl/5nl/10nl/16nl/25nl( aka "The Micros")on Starz is the same player pool.
I took 2nl seriously until I had like 80 bucks in my roll... then it was like.. what the hell. I'll call a bet for another 80 cents( which is almost 50 bbs at 2nl obv lol)...
Then I was like.. I probably should move up now.
btw I dont know why you said its frustrating at 2nl
Had to post this. Villain obviously tilting, but coz it was late I just saw the 2 7s come out and thought he'd won it. I was so p*ssed off I quit for the night (it was late anyway).
Went to do a hand review this morning and wondered why i couldn't find it with the biggest losses. Think it was definitely time for bed!
Recall being slightly worried by his large raise pre, then reraise, but he was pretty aggro so it wasn't like I'm not going to be getting Kings in there against him, and if he showed me Aces then so be it.
Preflop: Hero is BTN with K K
MP raises to $1.10, CO calls $1.10, Hero raises to $4, 2 folds, MP raises to $10.32, CO folds, Hero raises to $20 and is all-in, MP calls $9.68
Flop: ($41.40) K T 7 (2 players, 1 is all-in) Turn: ($41.40) 6 (2 players, 1 is all-in) River: ($41.40) 7 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $41.40 pot ($2.07 rake)
Final Board: K T 7 6 7
MP showed K 7 and lost (-$20 net)
Hero showed K K and won $39.33 ($19.33 net)

I guess it's more the fact that the fish will keep their hands to the very end and then catch their 1 outer on the river haha. But 9 times out of 10, you're winning over them anyways so it all works out
back up to 80, going to give NL5 a go and move back down when i hit $70 (currently back up to $80) was planning on moving up at $100 but will give it a shot
After my shocking day yesterday (lost 6.5BI in just less than 1,500 hands) I needed a good day today and I certainly got one: 8BI in 1,000 hands. I never seem to have a sustained period where I'm either steadily going up or down, it's just severe falls and climbs but as look as my BR is increasing I'm not complaining!
Was pretty lucky today because I won two flips for 100BB and my hands held up most of the time but was much happier with my play overall. There was 2/3 instances where I could of lost a stack with a relatively suspect call so I just played it safe and folded.
Got my English A2 exam tomorrow then my History on Tuesday and once I've done those I'll be finished school so I can begin plenty of grinding hopefully! Aim is to be beating NL25 by the time I go to university, hopefully on my way towards NL50.

You seem to have similar goals to me. Difference between us is I've got six exams left. :/ Four of which are maths exams.
Anyway, played another short session (286 hands) and ended up 1.5 BI up, which is fairly good going. It seems most of my biggest losses were due to misclicks this session (I'm trying out cascading my tables instead of using Party's stacking console):
And I meant to click raise on another table but this one popped up in front for some reason (surprised he didn't 3bet the river as it's got to be so rare I have FHs in my range with this line):

Should have done what I did; fail Maths at AS level. Yeah my aim is just to make a little side cash at university so that I don't need to get a job, so basically I need to get as high up the micros by September as after that point I'll be depositing excess money rather than building a bankroll.
