Hi 2+2 folks,

Couldn't find some sort of welcome thread, so decided to write a small introduction in the BQ subforum, as this is my first post.

Background
I'm an Applied Psychology student going into my 4th year next semester. I'm probably going to follow a pre-master after graduating my bachelor and intent to finish my studies with a Clinical Psychology master degree.

I grew up in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and have lived there for all my life. I live on my own in a nice play (relative to my position as a student) downtown, be it illegal sublease. Will move in October to another place next to my University of Applied Sciences in a student hotel.

Been playing poker for a number of years and been profitable on small stakes for that time span during most months. Never made an impressive amount of money playing poker, but it's been lucrative for a student.
Took a little break for a spurt of three months between March and July due to time scarcity. Back at it, although I'm not satisfied with the volume I put in at the moment. Definitely want to improve my game as well, as there are still infinite spots where I'm unsure about my play.

Stakes & Setup

I play with this dual monitor setup. My main and only game is €25,- 5-Max SnG's, which I play at anonymous site(s) that don't allow HUD tracking software, even though I do own HM2. I usually four-table on one of the screens and use the other screen for notes and some ICMizer calculations when needed. I want to up the number of tables I play over time, but am definitely not ready for this yet. Four-tabling already drops some EV per table for sure, as I have small periods where I autopilot too much.

Session frequency looks like this at the moment, which I'm not too pleased about. Want to kick it up to 20 to 25 hours per week. Been winning consistently after the little break, which is good, but it's too small a sample to be overly happy about it.

Didn't play last couple of days after I had a disconnect that lost me a couple of buy-ins. I can have a big losing session and be totally okay with it if I'm satisfied with my play, but when stupid stuff like that happens I get really tilted. Degenned it up at the Blackjack tables after, which I should really avoid and are definitely my weak point when I'm tilted, and felt like having a small pause for a couple of days. Will be back at it tomorrow, as I have company today.

Nickname is obviously a tribute to the one and only Tuff_Fish.

Cheers lads!

P.S.

1. Does anyone have experience with moving up from four-tabling, to five-, six-, seven- and eight-tabling? What's it like? What drugs are you on during sessions?
2. What's the best section to post hands for discussion in the €25,- shorthanded BI range? Tournament Poker > STT Strategy comes to mind for the games I play, but the posting frequency in that subforum is very low and I've seen some really poor advice given over there.
3. What's a good format to use for posting hands when you play on a site where you can't request hand histories?

Welcome, OG.

I can't help much with your questions but I caught your Tuff Fish reference.

Thanks! I was reminded to pull up this page of him talking background in the song Bad Day. I'm sitting here in tears.

Hello and welcome.

If you want to track your progress, the PG&C forum is ideal for this sort of thing.
