Also,
-practiced better bankroll management
-stayed away from FT until my game was better
-stayed away from Rush until my game was MUCH better
-deposited the max on FT to get the max bonus once I joined FT (this goes for Stars too fwiw)
-not drank while playing, especially at live events/donkaments
-read the Harrington books before playing my first tournament
-read Sklansky's books before playing my first hand
-gotten coaching sooner
-bothered to write my congressman and encouraged others to do the same before UIGEA was passed
-never assumed that AT, K9, Q9 and J9 were playable so often in early position
