Say two hands tie when you show your hand for the final pot, do you split the pot? Do you ever use suits to break ties? If more than two people tie do you split the pot evenly between each of the people in?

IF all hands are equal, then equal shares. Unless for a flush, suits don't matter.

Yup you split it, and if there's an odd number in the pot the weakest position gets the extra dollar

Yes, you split the pot. Be aware of constitutes equal hands i.e. you have to use all 5 cards. Some beginners just go based on rank mistakenly and will treat all flushes as equal or pairs as equal and will ignore kickers.

To clarify this statement, King isn't saying that the suit of the flush matters (i.e. that a heart flush is better than a spade flush), just that a suit is only ever used to determine if you have a flush. Other than that, suits don't matter.

And yes, I know it is impossible in holdem to have two flushes of different suits, but I still wanted to make sure King's answer wasn't misconstrued.
