How'd I play this hand. How'd I play this hand.

Just finished playing my session and this one hand is absolutely killing me. I personally feel like I really played this hand poorly but I'll let you guys tell me what you think.
1/3 No limit live
Hero: ($1000~) holds KK utg+2
Villain: ($250~)

I was definitely the aggressor at the table. Table had a lot of nitty players and two TAG regs who were solid. I was playing fairly aggressive. I was leading out a lot of hands with a 4xbb raise.

So action folds to me I make a standard raise to $12.

Folds to cutoff who makes it $35 to go. I had little info on him. He'd been at the table for an hr. He seemed to over commit/over value his 88-JJ and his AJ+. He had already made a few bad calls/raises with these hands.

Action folds to Hero. I tanked for a little. I knew I was going to raise, just considering a price. I favored a decent size raise because I knew he over valued hands and I was fairly certain he wouldn't fold 10-QQ or AQs/AKs to a good raise. Hero decides to raise to $105.

Villain sits for about 10-15 seconds and then jams for the rest of his stack.

At this point he pretty much has to have Aces, absolute worst hand is kings but I have that blocked. The pot is about $370 and I had to call about $150. After me complaining about how sick this was I shrug called. He showed me the aces and they held up.

After my session I talked the hand over with one of the solid players at my table. He said he thought I should have just called the villains initial reraise and evaluated on the flop. I think that play is way too tight especially OOP. So I felt like my raise was justified. I could have folded after he jammed, but I was getting a good price. So I don't know, maybe just have to accept that it was a bad situation. But What do you guys think??

Effective stack is 80bb and villain is tardy/loose and you are wondering about KK preflop.

get it in.

KK versus a jam pre is sick?? Since when?

yeah... he's not solid.

PS little bit of detail...your 4bet is too big...it achieves nothing to go this big...$80 odd would be fine.

Once you raise to 40% of his stack you can't fold to a shove

Copy, looking back I totally agree about the 4bet. Also when I said sick, i don't know. I just knew he had aces, but I knew I was pot committed. And it was the second time that week I ran KK into AA.
