I’ve been playing poker for almost a year now online micros and have tried playing live 1/2 poker with little success. I play a fairly standard range and would consider myself a fairly tight player. I’ve been playing live and have been turning hands and I keep getting beat by garbage for example of a hand I played recently I opened from ep 89 suited flop comes 688 rainbow. Player who was utg who limped in and called my raise leads out I 3b co calls and utg folds. Now it is heads up to a ten on the turn I have a little over a pot sized bet left and this card brings in a bdfd so I decide to jamb and charge the draw the max he snap calls and I assume he is drawing for a flush since I have a blocker to the straight he turns over 7/9 offsuit. Hands like this happen to me all the time. I guess in short my question is how do I play against these players who are playing the obscure ranges that make no sense to me. Feels like I just keep getting beat by these garbage hands when I am making decent hands and it is very discouraging.

Your hand history is bad: no effective stack sizes, no reads, no bet sizes, no pot sizes.

Also raising 98ss from EP into a limper isn't tight.

Also you didn't 3bet on the flop, you raised.

Also you should expect 66/86ss/T8ss/A8 to all be in villain's range, not saying that you weren't committed when you shoved because you were but there are hands that beat you as well as draws. Narrowing his range to flush draws that cold called a raise OTF is weird. He should be stronger than that, though ofc he should have been stronger than he actually was. When he flats there, I expect monsters more than draws.

When ranges are super wide, you can still narrow based on action. So that's what you should be doing.

is this fullring? thats wayyyy too loose of an open from EP.

vs lags the last thing you want to be doing is putting yourself in pots with marginal hands out of position.
tighten up and play them from in position. you're doing the opposite.
postflop sux its unfortunate, but, u putting urself there is indicative of a larger issue

pot control. This means don't raise with trips, weak kicker against a fish who could have T8-A9
