If I don't sleep at least 7 hours I feel miserable and don't produce 10% of what I should have, my job I work with financial, spreadsheets, banks, numbers and planning. So it is not manual, I have to do a lot of thinkings.

I posted before, but this months have been important to me because I need the cash from poker, and after 9 or 10pm is where the game is better and there are more fishs.
The problem is that I really enjoyed my life of sleeping really early and waking up between 5AM and 6:30AM.

What do you guys think? Poker is really important right now.
Should I make an excepction and sleep like 5~6 hours a day, and try to get used to it?
Or should I wake up later and after this poker "need" is gone, I can back to my routine.
Or should I still play from like 6pm to 8 or 10pm and finish the day, but the winrate would be worse.

I can't really imagine why it is that poker is really important right now. You must have a really good reason. I also have no idea how much you make in your job; how secure your job is; how much more you can really make from poker if you play late.

It is very possible that it is fine to be unproductive at work, and you will make tons of more money playing late. If this is the case, then it seems like you should go for it. Otherwise, I'd just stick with a normal schedule and keep the day job.

Otherwise you run the risk of becoming one of the fish yourself.

But you also say you play on that dodgy asian site which requires agents etc - around the time you say the game is good it's 4-5am where the fish are - are there that many on an all night drinking and gambling bender?

Prioritize your real job. Not close.

Why is it that you really need the money from poker right now? Go to your boss and explain to him that you’re not making enough money and ask for a solution to that problem.

Apparently you are willing to “work” extra hours playing poker, so you should be able to offer working extra hours at your regular job.

FWIW, I have a lot of friends who work in finance (maybe because I have a masters in that) and most of them are unhappy with their job in some way, usually because of long hours, but not a single one has to rely on a second income to support their family. If you can’t make a living from a job in finance, it might be time to look for a different job.

Seems like there would be less folks to get chips from at the later hours in most places.
Those donators that are there later would be the target of a lot of guys besides youself I would think.

Only you know your own body. If you are young enough and strong enough, you can use caffeine to try and 'borrow' sleep time from the weekends. I would reccomend, though, only doing this one day a week. Play, for example, Tuesday and Friday's, using caffeine on Wedneday to be functional.

Of course, don't do this if your body can't take it. if you have high blood pressure, a high acid stomach, or any other condition that caffeine would exacerbate, don't do it.

When I was in my early thirties, I played for a bout a year where I would work all day, then go to a card room or casino (or go out with friends and drink) 4 or 5 nights a week. It eventually took a toll on my body, but it was a very good year. As long as you know your bodies limits, you can push them.

But under no circumstances, unless your winrate over a significant sample is cruhing, should you jeopardize your steady, reliable income.

Can you sleep after you get home from work, start playing late at night, then go to work after playing for several hours?
