How Important Is "Red line" Winning at Non Showdown? How Important Is "Red line" Winning at Non Showdown?

My current limit is 10NL zoom PS but today I moved down to 2NL zoom in order to learn how to increase "red line" its a small sample but my thesis kind of worked.

The way I understand the way to increase red line is the following:

3bet more ip

3 barrel more

Whenever opponent shows weakness on turn - put pressure on river no matter what hands we are holding (with some frequency)

rep more: straights / flushes / trips / scary cards

Overbet to fold better hands.

Would love to hear your opinions on this subject and at what kind of spots we can increase our red line.

I think your thesis is correct. Particularly in the zoom games where people (i.e. regnits) are looking for reasons to fold and move on to the next hand, a more aggressive style can work. It's obviously a bad idea to try and be a "redline hero" in games (e.g. non-zoom tables) that contain more calling stations.

Bear in mind that there's also some variance when it comes to running bluffs. In "lucky" sessions, your triple barrels with air will work a lot and you crush everyone with a sick redline, but sometimes you'll have sessions from hell in which you keep overbetting into the nuts, and you end up with massive losses. It's a good idea to test out new styles at lower stakes, so that the "leaning process" isn't quite as costly when things go wrong.

There is absolutely nothing to suggest that your red line in poker should be b/e. Aim to get better at poker not to get a better red line.
