My main intention is to become good in real life play as there is too much HUD and potential cheating going on in online games. Please correct any poor or dated things i'm doing to improve my play:

1) Reading the Harrington on Hold 'em series

2) Playing Sit n Go tournaments on the Texas Poker app

3) Using a watch to randomise decisions based of what second it is (learnt from Harrington on Hold 'em)

4) Keeping an eye on this pre-flop list of recommended strong hands http://www.exceptionalpoker.com/wp-c...e-Position.jpg

5) I spend a lot of time on public transport with poor signal, so play offline poker app Governor of Poker 2

I am willing to buy better books or apps, what do you guys think?

Randomizing should be the last thing to worry about.

Playing solid comes first.

I'd recommend using range analysis software instead of those charts. I've heard a lot of good things about Flopzilla which I will be picking up shortly. Link: https://www.flopzilla.com/

The book I am currently reading and highly recommend: Exploitative Play in Live Poker, by Alexander Fitzgerald.

If you are playing online, DL some HUD software so that you are able to capture your hand history to start a Database which you can use to study your own play in various situations. I use DriveHUD and it's pretty good but find the right program that works well with whatever site's you play on. Here is an article in case you want more info on Poker HUD's: https://www.blackrain79.com/2015/04/...r-without.html

Also, would recommend watching some channels on Youtube, there are some really good poker vlogs that do hand analysis.

Anyone with any other advice? Any better free apps for the iphone or books?

Been playing online for money more now. I much prefer Sit n Go because its much fairer for those without much capital. Bet365 seems good.

There must be an offline poker app worth using? Or at the worst a free PC computer game?

I assume you mean playing weak hands to keep your opponents guessing?

If you’re looking for an app, get a poker calculator to learn how specific hands play pre and post flip.
