Getting jammed on by 10bb-25bb stack. Unsure what to do. Getting jammed on by 10bb-25bb stack. Unsure what to do.

Hero opens off of 30bb-50bb stack, gets jammed on (or raised) by a 10bb-25bb stack.

This is a common scenario that happens to me deep in MTTs and I have no idea what my calling range should look like.

Here are a few sample hands that demonstrate the scenario. When replying, please explain your thought process. I'd like to be able to understand what I should be thinking in this scenario, not just in these isolated events.

Hand 1

    Poker Stars, $6.82 Buy-in (250/500 blinds, 65 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 8 Players

    SB: 12,682 (25.4 bb) 24/19 3B: 6.9 [185 hands]
    BB: 12,398 (24.8 bb)
    UTG+2: 3,013 (6 bb)
    MP1: 16,303 (32.6 bb)
    MP2: 27,654 (55.3 bb)
    MP3: 4,205 (8.4 bb)
    CO: 7,010 (14 bb)
    Hero (BTN): 11,053 (22.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q A
5 folds, Hero raises to 1,105, SB raises to 3,250, BB folds, action to Hero.

    Hand 2

      Poker Stars, $6.82 Buy-in (150/300 blinds, 40 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players

      SB: 8,554 (28.5 bb)
      BB: 5,160 (17.2 bb) 35/16 3B: 5.9 [85 hands]
      Hero (UTG+1): 8,990 (30 bb)
      UTG+2: 4,163 (13.9 bb)
      MP1: 15,477 (51.6 bb)
      MP2: 4,748 (15.8 bb)
      MP3: 6,488 (21.6 bb)
      CO: 13,334 (44.4 bb)
      BTN: 6,995 (23.3 bb)

      Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A J
Hero raises to 741, 7 folds, BB raises to 5,120 and is all-in, action to Hero.

      All help is appreciated.

      Thought process goes something like:

What range does villain have in this spot? (Knowing whether villain is a loose or tight shover helps a lot).
How much equity does my hand have against that range? (I don't literally think of a number. I just have a feel for how well my hand plays against that range.)
Am I getting the right price to call if I'm behind?
Are there ICM or other factors that make me reluctant to race for my tourney life at this stage?

And then I call and get beaten by a hand I dominate.

first one i call because of position and we should be raising wide, hence there's more stuff that he might cram with that we beat, second one while it's not as big a jam, we're opening first up so he shouldn't be doing this with as much we beat, so i'd muck. suppose it does depend if we appear active

If you have no information about your opponents and we don't worry about ICM too much, I'd check a push-fold-chart to see how wide they are supposed to shove with their respective stack size and act accordingly.

For me, hand 1 is a snap call 100% of the time. Hand 2 depends on how active we have each been the past couple of orbits but I would lean towards a call.
