My plan is to save up $25,000 to eventually be able to play 2/5 NL PLO live.
I will start at 1/2 NL and 1/2 PLO live but move up when I know im beating it.
I've given myself 5 years to save up $25,000. Now I have 5 years of studying to do. Will studying for 5 years get you better at poker?
Just like a uni/college student goes to college/uni for 4 years to study i will study poker for 5 years without actually playing. i might watch some online poker.
You would definately become better by studying, but I think you would learn a lot more by playing poker aswell, even if it was for just 1 hour a day.
Knowledge is good, but for it to have any value you need to know how and when to apply it, and this takes practice, not studying.
You might get a lot of knowledge, but it's possible you would just overload your brain with information. So when you after 5 intensive years sit down at the table for the first time, your head might actually explode. I'm not even joking, like literally exploding. Tread very careful my friend.
