Hi guys,

Just wanting to know the easiest and simplest way to calculate flop/turn and river percentage for a hand giving what's on the board vs villian(s).

Just trying to learn parts of poker but by but and thought that this type of topic would help me out alot, thanks.

Looking for simple explaining and links to other threads regarding this.

Thanks,

Oli

Search for equilab or flopzilla and play around with those. I think both are downloadable for free or at least partially free.

Do you mean your equity against a specific hand or your equity against a range? If you have a draw otf you can multiple you'r outs by 4 to calculate your equity [this is with the assumption that you will see both the turn and river card]. On the turn multiple your outs by 2 to achieve the same result.
Any questions you have about the math of poker are answered in Owen Gaines book 'Poker Math That Matters'. It's an excellent book. There's a free equity tool available here; https://www.pokerstrategy.com/poker-...quilab-holdem/

Isn't it (outs x 4)+2 in the flop and (outs x 2)+1 on the turn for just slightly more accurate odds?

Possibly, I know multiplying by 4 and 2 will get you pretty close. I'v never been advised to add to the result but you could be right.

If you want to know the percent chance your hand will improve 'by the River' based on the board then you can roughly use the 4 times outs (Flop) and 2 times outs (Turn) .. not sure where the 'plus 2' came from and remember that you must see both the Turn and River for the 4x calculation to apply. This only applies to your hand, so you must consider that even though you 'hit' you may still be behind in the hand.

If you want to know how your hand matches up against a possible V holding, then you need to go to the charts/generators to get some equities. GL

Sorry if I wasn't specific enough, I mean percentages you have in order to win on the flop turn river e.g like what you see on pokerstars when all in and on the flop it will have percentages of who's more likely to win
