First 650 hours...is my BB/hr ok? First 650 hours...is my BB/hr ok?

Hi all,

I just calculated my hourly for my first 650 hours of live 1/3 play. Without promos I averaged $6.77 per hour (2.25BB/hr.). Is this ok for someone who’s been playing for eight months?

Thanks,
DT

Normal? You're winning that's great. Much better than most.

The question you should always be asking is how do you win more? In which case you may need to post more hands and stats.

What stats do you think would help?

It's live poker. Don't worry about stat tracking. It is really hard to do, but don't pay too much attention to your win-rate as it's never going to be reliably precise.

I'd say you're doing well.

I don't play live so I don't really know. All I can tell you is that you're doing well given the info you have given.

Not losing over 600 hours is better than 75% of players at a rough guess because most players lose money.

Solid start for sure, but not super high-level results by any means. I'm sure there's a lot you can improve. Stat tracking at live is next to impossible, so I recommend posting some hands or maybe posting something more general like your opening ranges by position and seeing where you may be able to improve.

FWIW, the winrate in a low stakes live game says very little about your skill in general terms.

The only thing that number really tells you is that you have performed significantly better over 15-29k hands than the average player in that game.

That’s something to be happy about.
