7 handed final table. prizes start at 3rd. Im wanting to finish first and will be disappointed if i finish anything but first. I have around 200,000 chips 2nd in chips. chip leader has around 280,000. blinds are 10000/20000. I'm UTG with KJo. is shoving here correct? theres no antes. I have 10BB. im aiming to finsh 1st.

I played for 3.5 hours and i couldn't look at anyone in the eye. i was exhausted just like the other week at the nightclub. i ended up just drinking my beer and ignoring the chicks since i couldn't hold eye contact with them. or anyone for that matter.

at the poker table i was just staring at the table counting my chips and other stacks while everyone was talking. people were commenting that im quiet and stuff.

how do i not feel so stuffed? i did have kfc before the tourny.

I'd fold that KJo.

When you shake someone's hand, do you look them in the eyes? Think about the significance of your options.

At the poker table, when the topic of conversation becomes "let's talk about the quiet guy" I always get a little uneasy, mostly because I've been that guy before. I'm going to request that a certain 2+2er comes and shares funny things he would say if put in that position. He's an A- troll when he wants to be. The only thing holding him back is that he's too nice with his trolling, imo.

7-handed, I might put in a 2.5x raise and fold to a large 3-bet, but call a small shove. 9-handed, I'd just fold. I would not open shove with this hand because if the other big stack wakes up with a hand and calls you, you are dead.

Big-stacked you can punish the shorter stacks and blinds by raising with these types of hands. They're marginal, but often the best hand and can force other marginal hands (K-10, A-8, 44) to fold. If on the off-chance someone has a better hand, you will likely hear about it pre-flop and can react accordingly.

I've experienced burnout too, it's part of playing constantly. You just have to mix it up a little and take a short break from the tables. Go for a bike ride or jog, see a movie, or even do yoga as so many pros are fond of. Just change it up a little. (I went to a baseball game the other night.)

I'm the quiet, observant one at the table too and sometimes someone smart will point this out. I laugh it off and explain that it's just my personality. If anything it's making that person uncomfortable, which is a plus.

10BB, no antes, 7 handed UTG, KJo is boarderline. Think most push/fold charts say it's a push from UTG+1 but a fold from UTG. If you have a nitty image and people call shoves too tight, I'd stick it in anyway. Otherwise I would fold.

If you just want to get it over with and win or bust and go home, you can obv. up the variance and ship a super wide range.

People tend to play live donkaments exactly how they shouldn't. They gamble in the beginning and become tight in the end. If you're second in chips that must mean you are effectively only shoving 10BB against one person, against all others you are risking less. Makes it a pretty clear shove.

That's not the way to approach it, otherwise you'd also shove 10BB if CL has 100BB and everybody else has 0.1BB.

I think Kelvis clearly means in the absence of other obvious ICM factors
