I'm reviewing a hand I played and there is a difference in the equity percentage, presumably because in PT4 it's (for some unknown reason) not showing the villains' hold cards after we've all gone all-in, so it's calculating my equity based on their cards being "unknown".

Any reason why? And what it means for us when trying to estimate equity on the fly?

In the hand I have AdJd on an AhJh6h flop. PT4 gives me 67% equity with two villains' cards "unknown" and so they both have 16% equity. How is this calculated? Obviously if either one of them has a heart their equity is far higher than 16%.

Players having “unknown cards” is the same as them having random hands after accounting for card removal. The PT4 equities you quote are the same as Equilab shows, produced either by enumeration or Monte Carlo sampling.

I suppose PT4 assumes random hands because it would have to assign ranges to villains and rightly chooses not to do so, for that is up to you.
