10dollar sngs? No turbos no multitable?

Am i properly rolled for that. only lk 40 bi's. was thinking 60 to be safe but im not at a 'protected' bankroll yet.

I guess my question is how did YOU get your BR up over 1000? And then what did you do

Depends on your strengths.

If you feel you are a stronger cash game player then I would most certainly play cash. If you have had great success in STT's I would recommend those. You could also play the $3 180's on Stars if you prefer to play MTT's.

MTT's and SNG's are higher variance than cash unless you are absolutely crushing the games.

I'd recommend adhering to at least a 150 BI BR requirement for MTT's. 100 minimum for STT's and even that is not enough at the $10+ level in my personal opinion.

If you are going to play cash, depending on how many tables you play (1 at a time, 10 at a time, 24 at a time?) I'd recommend 40-50 buy-ins until you reach NL50 and then, personally, I'd want 75-100 buy-ins.

If you are a winning player, practice decent BRM, and are willing to put in the volume and don't tilt during bad swings, then you can easily turn your $480 into $1000. I stress the winning player aspect of that, as far as I can tell, based on your PTR stats, you are not.

It looks like most of your time has been spent playing STT's and/or MTT's. Stick to this if it suits you, but be sure to keep plenty of buy-ins behind.

I'm playing $2.25's on tilt atm trying to renew my BR (took 1.5 years off online poker and a lot has changed in STT's since I last played). I'm hopefully wrapping up a 50 buy-in down swing over the last 300 games, so don't be discouraged when things go against you.

If you are willing to jump around stakes more, feel free to take some shots with only 40 or so buy-ins for a particular STT stake, I would not recommend that for MTT's though.

I guess you can say I am alright in the MTT'S, seems like there is alot more donks making it profitable for you if you can capitalize the end game strategy.

Cash game to me seems more profitable at the 50nl level and up. I would imagine sngs have FAR better players at the 30+level. In addition to that I just think about whenever I go to my local Horseshoe casino, and crush 1/2 (80% of the time i double my buy in).

100 buy ins for stts seems pretty steep too but then again I do feel comfortable playing 5.50s with my BR of 480

the first time i got my account over 1k was when i wasl ike 16, i played .25-.50 NL all the time with like 100-300 in my account most of the time, i reloaded alot. No idea how to use bankroll management. Then i started playing the .50-1$ cap game on FTP, go up to like 600, then started playing 1-2NL and got it up to like 1300 then lost most of it or withdrew it and spent it.

THen like a year ago when i started to really try to be serious about poker, i played 5$ sngs til i got to like 500, then 10$sngs til i got up, but then i went on a downswing, i started to play the .50-1$ game again, basically cruised along, found out about rakeback, got that, started grinding alot, bought holdemmanager, did pretty well, won like 2 of 5 tournaments i played in, and in another of those 5 had a top 3 finish. Since then ive just been grinding like .50-1 and 1-2 trying to make money, go to my local casino nad play 1-3 and 2-5 alot, even try some 3-6 limit for fun.

sorry for the book lol
