You can request a 2+2 ban at this Ban Me Ban Me thread

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, or 14 days. Requests for any other number of days may not be able to be granted, or may be changed to 14 days, without notice.

Yeah, you can't just block every other distraction. Maybe try playing your regular game(s) and then play twice as many games at a tenth of the stakes to keep you occupied on something poker related - obviously concentrate on your main games, worst comes to worst it's not cost you much

Focus your energy into the game. Try to make range estimations, try to predict actions, run equity calculations in your head, etc.

Shorten your sessions so that you are less apt to get bored or distracted

Allow yourself 1 low grade distraction (like back ground music)

This may sound stupid, and don't do it if you are playing around other people, but try narrating the action out loud and describing the different considerations

If you can, play live as well (it is a lot easier, imo, to stay present in the game when sitting at a table).

I am worse at online poker than I am at live, as I am on autopilot and not as present playing onlione versus live.

This will help your game more than you may believe at this time.

This is pretty pathetic and blocking yourself from a web site is just papering over the cracks. It's well within your remit to concentrate when you'r playing.
Poker is a complex game but two of the most essential ingredients for success; patience and concentration can be exercised by anyone from the first day they play.

In his defense, until a couple of years ago everybody was watching shows while surfing the internet and 20-tabling.

Depends. Live play, try engaging with your customers to get more info. Online? Play more tables focus on every details of your villain, blind structure etc

While accurate, that isn't the most helpful advice. That's like telling someone to play better. Correct but not constructive or prescriptive. Clearly OP has a lack of focus and discipline, but those are things that have to be developed over time, and not something that can be turned on like flipping a switch.

There are three strategies that I reccomend
1. Deep soul searching, solo or with professional help, about what drives you to seek superficial distraction rather than engaging. Sometimes, there are deep rooted behaviors or triggers driving that action. Other times, it could be chemical in nature. If it is conditioned behavior, then you have ot recondition yourself
2. Try incremental improvements-set a goal each day of goin x minutes playing 1 or 2 tables while focusing just on the game. Stop the clock as soon as you realize that you aren't paying attention any more, and try to set a target for the next session to go longer. Or try incrementally eliminating distractions. Eliminate web browsing one session, and videos the next.
3. Try punishment reward-Try old classic aversion therapy techniques. Put a rubber band on your risk, and every time you catch your attention wandering, pop the rubber band. If you make it a certain amount of time without distractions, give yourself some sort of reward (10 minute sof browsing, or whatever works for you).

You may want to see if you have ADD, and see if strategies for combating that work.
