What is the best strategy to play in satellite for main event in live casino games.
150BB starting stack , 20 min level, top 10% finisher got seats to main event , + 2 seats added .
I am an amateur player , didn't play satellites before , just regular tourneys , couple of cashes , few top 3-5 splits at my local casino., but I must mentions all this was like 5 years ago. Now I have more time again and I plan to keep playing as hobby but totally want to improve my game, I still love poker. This is my plan now to play few satellites to try to qualify for main events to upcoming HPT tour,
Wsopc 2 times this season . Also will play up to $500 buy ins in circuits .
Please advice about satellites, but also general tournaments strategy and how and what to study to improve my game. I have few books to reread as Harrington , Little , I read few post here and for sure will read all sticky on this forum.What else? Thank you,

Play basically normal donkament poker, but be aware of what a "par" amount of chips for a seat is and when ICM means you fold ATC

Not a fan of this article. He doesn’t properly explain why it is a mistake for the big stack to be aggressive. He hardly explains anything and is arguably just wrong on certain points. For example, I do not believe it is correct to play a “slowly building” style very far from the bubble. ICM is a huge factor in these formats, but not 90% of the field away from the bubble.

I agree with some of those points, but Carlos completely crushes the satties he plays. He was also coached by Doke, who is generally acknowledged as the best satty player of all time.

So far one general idea is if we build an enough big stack is ok to slow down and cruise past bubble

If you build a big enough stack in a satellite you can disconnect and jack off to horse porn, live this might be a bit more difficult but with bathrooms and mobile phones it's still possible
