so ive come into about 5k for a bank roll. im gonna start playing live NL 1/3 at my local casino, but id like to in the mean time start studying strategy. I have Harrington's cash games books vol 1 and 2. ive read through them already and will probably read them again, but id like to study some more modern strategy. Free and paid for resources are good as I don't mind spending some money on some good content. I know there is a ton of content out there, but im trying to wade through the bad and pay for the good content.

thanks in advance!

Just a suggestion; how about playing online for smaller stakes. That way your poker "lessons" are less costly.

i am going to be playing micro stakes as well, but i find live play to be a helluva lot softer, at least at my casino and also micros don't play the same way live play does because people don't give a fk about going all in with garbage and trying to draw out because $10 and $25 means nothing to them. like i said i am gonna play micros online and i have played micros in the past, but the constant BS suckouts get old and doesn't happen nearly as much in live play. i guess i kind of contradicted myseld there, going all in on petty draws would be considered soft play, but its a different kind of soft with live play, less all ins, but still inexperienced. sorry for the novel, hope that kind of makes sense.

I know that everybody's experience can be different, but in my experience, live players (at 1/2 or 1/3) are much more willing to play crap hands and call large bets with marginal draws than people online (at much lower stakes).
