We may be noobs (by name).. but we have had some quality threads come through the forum. While this list is nowhere near the full list, it is a good start. Some of these threads are older (or contains links to older information), so you'll need to use some critical thinking to decide what is relevant.. but you should be able to get something out of any of the links below. If you've got something else that you think needs to be read from the Beginners Forum, please link it!

i have a challenge for you btw. find a post I made years ago in microsteaks nl about huds and include that. its probably so like 2008 or something (I seriously have no idea when I posted it so consider it a treasure hunt)

hint: I had a rather epic how to table select using your hud post in microstakeslimit that did feature in digests. Was one of my finest moments and a thread I was pleased with and the nl version followed months after, I think.....

IMO it would be great if we could get the BQ Digest started again. I've missed it. I'd definitely be willing to help out and I'm sure others would too.

Kudos that you guys are headed this direction.

I am providing a link to a library post that now has 47k+ hits that is an awesome format for providing access to excellent, historical posts.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/35...ibrary-799833/

IMHO the above is the best post ever for that purpose. A real challenge to organise and post and an even bigger challenge to keep current as time goes by.

I am not saying anyone will have the time or the motivation to do this in BQ, but Ice's post seems headed that direction and some of the responses point out the implied value.

Ozi is right, LDO, someone should also take up the digest.

hmmm, I take your point.

The problem is, lazy BQ mods have let this forum have too many stickies imo ...

I will sticky this for now.

This is temporary, until someone complains, or I find out who is in charge around here

Ahh ... at this point I probably don't agree with everything in my Pooh Bah post (which at the time I really intended to make a lot better than it it ended up being before I ended up giving up on it) and maybe not some stuff in my Well. Those threads were years ago.

EDIT:

In fact I just read some of my Pooh Bah post and I can say now with certainty that I disagree with some of it. Most of the basic ideas seem fine, but there are some specifics in there that I disagree with now and a very few that I find to be kinda bad.

Just read WCGRider's post. It's so hilarious to read him talk about not calling since he flats like 85-90% in the bb vs a minraise nowadays.
